My recollection is different than yours. I remember many people talking about being happy with the direction of the franchise, especially with a farm system that was considered to be among the top 5 in the game, including several posters that now hate the current FO. Not saying the team was expected to contend, but despite a suspect pitching staff, among other weaknesses, it was still hovering around .500 in July. The wheels did fall off, but you cannot just gloss over the injuries they had. Again, not saying they were a legit contender, but that season had some major setbacks like RR's implosion and TJS for Hutchison, among others.
Anyway, it's not big deal, but I'll trust my memory over someone who forgot he said Marcus Stroman's struggles in ST were a sign he'd get lit up in MLB and repeated such garbage when he struggled out of the Blue Jays BP in less than 9IP...thank you.
