  1. So I just heard Zaun's reaction to Arencibia's rant. Funny he repeats what he's said before that he wants Arencibia swinging for homers and doubles because he doesn't want him getting tired on the bases, i.e. clogging the bases, lol. He says he needs to be better in situational hitting and his defense. Well, I guess Zaun doesn't see that swinging for the fences is a big part of Arencibia's problems in his hitting approach and mechanics. I'll say this, all of the issues that are being talked about right now should've been worked on since 2011 when JPA was the starter. Maybe they have and JPA just hasn't gotten it. Either way it reflects badly on the organization.
  2. JPA is so bad, that he's turned Zaun against him. Zaun compared JPA to Piazza and I think had argued with Hayhurst in his favor. He's basically turned Zaun into a guy now liked by members of this board when he used to be ridiculed...lol. Not me though, I dislike both of them.
  3. The game that stung for me was the one against Fister. I thought Gibbons left Wang in too long (lol), but then again, whomever came in might've given up just as many. The Bonifacio error during JJ's start was huge, not making excuses for JJ, but absent that error, there's no one on and 2 outs.
  4. When is Barreto gonna be promoted? I know it's a SSS, but the young guy keeps not only hitting but showing good plate discipline.
  5. Exactly. The big problem is the starting pitching with this team we follow, how anyone could expect the blue jays to outslug the Tigers with those 2 pitchers on the mound is beyond me, let alone an offense with 3-4 regulars out injured. I do understand the frustration.
  6. I don't want this farm system further gutted so no excuses, get the Cuban fellow. He's young and is believed to be MLB ready. I know he's not proven, but JJ, Dickey and Morrow were "proven". Anyway...
  7. f*** this, get the Cuban guy.
  8. Funny (or sad) thing is that Zaun compared Arencibia to Mike Piazza so they're both idiots as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Get this Gonzalez guy, look at it as a FA signing, I'm sure this has been suggested already, but maybe if we post it enough, it'll happen!
  10. Thanks for the insult bro. However, it is fair to ask why they would have him start a rehab assignment just for it to be interrupted by a family wedding for 2-3 days? The fact is that weddings are planned months in advance, so this is no excuse, it's a clusterf*** of a season, see the "JPA blows up thread" for further evidence. I hope AA doesn't compound things by making a stupid trade...I mean another stupid trade.
  11. Nice blond right there, makes this even better.
  12. They could start this on Sunday. Go with a Redmond/McGowan piggyback. Try and squeeze 3 out of Redmond and then give McGowan 3. Next turn you start McGowan and go from there. I would definitely ask McGowan though and if he's on board, you do it. If this works out, it would open up a spot in the bp for Santos.
  13. I hope you're right and Verlander is the first one to go, let's hope it's in the first.
  14. I thought it was a 2-seamer just by watching on tv, but it had the look of a splitter no doubt. Nasty stuff this guy throws, what the f*** are they gonna do once Santos comes back? Imagine if the Delabar program helps both Santos and McGowan stay healthy, lol...so many good relievers, there's gotta be a gm out there who will give you a position player for one, hasn't there? Anyway, if I was JJ/Morrow, I'd be all over that Delabar programme.
  15. And why the heck didn't Kawasaki hit for DeRosa in the 9th?
  16. So Lawrie is nowhere to be found and hasn't played in like 4-5 days. These are valuable at-bats he's missing out on, what a clusterf*** of a season. This probably means he's out for the year, get used to Bonifacio at 2B and Kawasaki on the bench.
  17. So AA said Aaron Sanchez was fine and they'd cut him loose. Well, I guess cutting him loose means going from 3 to 4 innings, I know it's about pitch count, but boy does this organization baby its pitchers. Nolin and Stroman should be in AAA. I know Sanchez missed a month, but at this pace, he'll take longer to develop
  18. I have a bigger issue with management and the coaching staff for tolerating Bonifacio than I do with him and same goes with JPA
  19. At least he won't be traded for a reliever...wait, who knows.
  20. He also cost the Blue Jays a chance at contending, lol.
  21. They should just get it over with. He was dominant before and even a couple of starts after coming back from resting the elbow. There's no doubt in my mind his struggles are tied to the elbow problems.
  22. He shouldn't even be on the roster let alone playing over Kawasaki. Gibbons doesn't much care for defense it seems, I don't think the pitchers appreciate this.
