  1. One thing is for sure, Lawrie's chances of being an AS are better at 2B than at 3B with Longoria, Machado and Beltre there.
  2. I hope they're not about to trade what little's left of the farm to get a 3B. I'm not sure what to think of this move. Izturis is hitting better, but I guess they think Lawrie would be better defensively than him at 2B. I wonder if they'll panic and call Lawrie up for Friday 'cause I expect them to get swept by the Indians...hope I'm wrong.
  3. We saw Gibbons show up JJ/Walker by going to the mound to talk to JJ, but when is he going to do something to a/the position player? Not attacking Gibbons, just saying they deserve to be read the riot act or something. I've said that there hasn't been any accountability since the start of the year, but it might be too late now since they've put up with all the LoViste crap and other shenanigans. I'd still do it. Anyway....
  4. Yeah, I've been checking up on him. I love the 6bb/1so...SSS of course.
  5. Well, except on Bonifacio and JPA, there ain't a sample big enough to make them give up on at least Bonifiasco.
  6. There's no doubt in my mind that the moves were driven by wanting to hype up interest, sell tickets, continue to increase ratings, merchandise sales, etc.
  7. Not only that, but Bonifacio PH for Kawasaki the other day. It's amazing to me that they play Arencibia 4/5 games. Now, don't get me wrong, not saying Thole is the answer, but you can see when he plays he's rusty as heck. Anyway...
  8. Not only does JJ not get much run support when he starts, but he has to deal with Bonifiasco at 2B when he starts.
  9. LOL. Well, it must be frustrating to see them get shut out by Mike Pelfrey and Ubaldo Jimenez.
  10. As I said earlier, they're gonna waste a decent outing by JJ, they may go 0-6
  11. It's been a while, the worst part is that regulars indulge the trolls by replying to them. Something must be done!
  12. So when's Gibby gonna do what he did to JJ to his entire offense? I know this is reactionary, but they're just horrible at executing.
  13. So Jimenez gets borderline calls and JJ doesn't? Anyway...
  14. I feel quite confident in saying the Jays will waste a decent outing by JJ tonight.
  15. So I imagine Lawrie is going to play through the MLB AS break with Buffalo and be activated right after the break. I wonder if they'd activate him against Baltimore? Probably not.
  16. He stole a base the other day, didn't he? But yes, I'm sure he's not gonna run as often as he used to until he stops thinking about the injury which I'm sure it's still on his mind a bit.
  17. I'm ok with blaming AA for almost everything, but not for Bonifacio's playing time at this point anyway. Lind was being platooned early in the year because Gibbons knew his splits against LHP, no one stopped him. Maybe you're right. Anyway, I'm not upset about the at bat he had, just don't think he should be playing.
  18. The bigger question issue for me is why Gibbons keeps playing him. Kawasaki ain't great, but he plays better defense, makes pitchers work and draws walks.
  19. Me no want another Beede situation, me want Bickford signed.
  20. You're right, it's just frustrating, I hope he's not injured. I do find that this franchise babies its pitchers a bit much in the low minors and it's not like they're not seeing injuries.
