  1. It seems Lawrie doesn't know how to turn to the right to protect his hands and wrists and let the ball hit him on the arm which has muscles to protect the bones. Like Matt Holliday did when Stroman hit him a few weeks ago.
  2. This is another of the reasons why I was against getting this guy. After acquiring him, AA went out of his way to sign Henry f***ing Blanco because Dickey told him he was the best at catching his knuckler. To me, they need to stop this garbage, like you said, it's not as if he's pitching well. Anyway....
  3. I'd say it started against the Cards when they had a bunch of LOB, but still won the game with Stroman on the mound. They've been terrible since. I just hope the injuries aren't serious 'cause if they are, they're in deep s***.
  4. Did Gibby chew out Rasmus for that? If he didn't, I'm sure Cabrera will be mad.
  5. Especially at the same time. Both injuries today looked bad to me, but we'll have to wait and see.
  6. How long till the "fire AA" thread gets bumped, I say 10 minutes. And I bet it'll be Angwhatever.
  7. It won't matter if Bautista and Lawrie are out for extended time....like 3 games.
  8. I just saw the replay of Bautista's injury and it looked bad to me. I don't want to say exactly what it is, but it starts with "torn...". Hopefully, I'm wrong again.
  9. Hate to be negative, but it's looking like 2013 all over again. Let's hope the injuries aren't as bad as they look.
  10. All teams would be devastated without 3-4 regulars in their lineups, maybe a couple of exceptions, but for the most part, they'd all suffer dearly.
  11. Having this Barker character on SN's broadcast is just another slap in the face of Blue Jays fans. It's goes hand in hand with having to watch the game muted because of Buck and Tabler. "Big and strong". "A little bit" this and that, so sick of this garbage.
  12. Barring injury, rotation is set for the next few weeks so this all moot. Kratz will get Happ back on track, I'm sure Kratz just had a bad day yesterday. On a normal Kratz day, he would've framed the s*** out of Happ's pitches and led him to a 7IP, 5-hit, no-walk, 7K start. Happ is just too big and strong not to succeed. He was just a little bit off his game yesterday.
  13. I think he'd prefer the 5 years 90M you offered first, but with a little despairing, I'm sure he'll take the 4 years 78M.
  14. I don't mind Reyes getting a day off, he's been in a funk so it may give him a chance to regroup plus he did foul off a pitch off his knee.
  15. LOL @ replying to raysjays/high85....
  16. AA may actually be looking to do this, at least I hope that's partly why he's said that they'd prefer to acquire a rental to finish off this season.
  17. We'll wait and see how things go, but I'm inclined to agree. You add up what Rasmus, Cabrera and Morrow make and try and use that more efficiently. Maybe bring one of Rasmus or Cabrera back, but maybe use the left over $ to go after a #2 type SP. Anyway, we'll have to wait and see. Right now, I don't really mind Morrow back for the 2nd half although I've said I suspected Santos and Morrow have thrown their last pitch as Jays. I was wrong about Santos, hopefully, I'm wrong on Morrow as well.
  18. No move guarantees anything. You can only try to improve the team and hope that's enough to make it to the PS, I don't know how you can acquire legit reinforcements without giving up assets to do so and more likely prospects unless you trade from the MLB roster which might be like plugging a hole to create another one. If they do trade away more of the farm, I'd like them to get back youngish players that will stick around for a few years, but we'll have to wait and see.
  19. Happ isn't going anywhere, it should be obvious to all by now. Whether it's Morrow coming back or a SP acquisition, they'll demote Stroman or DL Hutchison. Don't forget that Hutchison and Stroman will be shut down at some point due to reaching their innings limit.
  20. Problem with Nolin is he keeps injuring his groin. He's injured for the 2nd time this year. He also had a groin issue to start 2013. s***** timing I guess, but it is what it is.
