  1. Headly has to come as a salary dump, wouldn't give up Nolin for him. Fact is that he's rumoured to be injured and is having a horrible season, that has to drop the price tag for acquiring him by quite a bit. I know Nolin is not a sexy prospect and has dealt with groin injuries in 2013 and 2014, but I like the fact he's almost MLB ready and should be in the mix as rotation depth in 2015. What about Everth Cabrera? Last time I checked, he was having a bad season, but can play SS and probably 2B and brings some speed, not sure about his D.
  2. I thought they should've DL'ed him right away. Remember, Reyes took a few days off at the end of ST only to reinjure the hammy on OD and missed 2 weeks. Rasmus had a few days off when he first injured his hammy, came back for a few games and then ended up missing a month. We'll see what happens.
  3. They've only been looking for a 2B since 2012, I'm sure NOW they'll find their man. I'd go for an everyday player plus a bench guy, ideally a guy that can platoon with Lind.
  4. Expected this loss so I'm not upset over it. What's most concerting is the 7-15 slide + the injuries going into a long road trip which will take them to the AS break. I could see them hitting the break at .500 or just 2 games above.
  5. He's about average. He's made some crucial errors, but some of the balls some people claim he should get to might legitimately be too far away from him. I'm sure if he continues his crappy play of late, the stats will show it.
  6. Alright, I'll oblige. I wasn't complaining about the Jays "having it bad", I just pointed out that the team is simply not good enough to run away with the division. I also pointed out that there's a lot of parity around MLB with a few exceptions. The division figures to be a dogfight till the end, it is what it is and we'll see how things turn out.
  7. It must be frustrating for the other teams' fans also as I'm sure everyone wants their favourite team to run away with their division. The Blue Jays are what their record shows. They have holes of which the F/O has been well aware of, it just hasn't wanted or been able to fill them. In fact, look around MLB and you'll see so many teams bunched up together. I guess one could say adding the 2nd WC has helped bring parity around the 2 leagues. The Blue Jays struggle in the upcoming road trip like they did in their previous one, they could find themselves right around .500 at the AS break and resembling the 2013 edition post 11-game winning streak. I think they're better than that, but they've played 7 games under .500 since they went up to 14 games over. Hopefully, they get to the break around 10 games over rather than 2-3 games over .500.
  8. Jays remain in 1st, but have more losses than the Yanks and have as many as the O's.
  9. Tough loss, but whatcha gonna do, can't win'em all! It gets tougher tomorrow against Sale, but at least StroShow should give team a chance. On the other hand, it's kids' day at the RC and those have usually been losses this year, gotta change that tomorrow. Is it just me or do the Jays always come up short in their 9th inning comeback tries? I know it's tough, don't get me wrong, just saying. It's weird how Gibbons just refuses to pull RAD after 5-6 innings. I guess they have to believe in him, bu tit's annoying. There just seems to be a dark cloud hanging over RAD, it's as if he's too uptight. Maybe he and the team need to accept that he'll never live up to the expectations and just focus on throwing the damn ball to the plate and whatever happens, happens.
  10. So where the UnHappy guys at? Happ has given the team some decent value out of the 5th spot.
  11. Happ is big and strong so no need to worry 'bout pitch count.
  12. Hopefully, it's AA tampering with the radar gun to get some GM to trade him a 2B for him.
  13. Maybe "you" doesn't want to make no stinkin' statement? Just a thought.
  14. He might have to since nobody believed him the first time as he looks so manly.
  15. I think it's more like "if Dickey was ok with it, Kratz would get more games".
  16. Don't think Cabrera will get 5 years, I don't even think he gets 4. I'd say 3 and maybe an option year tops. We'll have to wait and see.
  17. Oh I agree, I was just having fun with the fact that if Happ had stunk, many would be blaming Navarro.
  18. I'm pretty sure it's true although I'd think a SSS warning applies. There have been a couple good ones with Navarro behind the plate, but I just think his inconsistency is more inline with his career performance.
  19. Just saying everyone would be giving credit to Kratz for Happ's performance if Kratz was catching tonight.
  20. 'Cause you can't fire a coach in the middle of a game?
  21. You can thank Kratz for this, without him, Happ is lost, look at his previous start in Cincy when Gibbons decided to start Navarro at C with him on the mound...didn't turn out well.
