  1. They probably also value the fact that they're in the playoff picture.
  2. After the 2015 off season you mean? Tough to call it a great signing when we don't know what he'll command in FA.
  3. What part of the killer rotation has left? Trading Utley and Rollins for youth is legit, but how young would those players have been and would they have actually panned out as you should know that not all prospects pan out. Drafting better applies to all organizations and they were drafting in late in rounds.
  4. Agreed on RAJ. However, could you explain to me the dynasty comment 'cause I don't see how they had a dynasty going.
  5. Navarro probably cost Hutchison 3 K tonight. If Kratz had been catching, Blue Jays would've allowed negative runs tonight.
  6. I understand your point, but I doubt it very much. He's thrown 66 innings so far and must be at a 120 IP limit so I doubt they're counting on him for anything this year. We'll see what happens.
  7. He said "join me in the s*** and then I love you". Or something similar.
  8. Maybe Morrow, but you must be joking about Sanchez if you think he's in the mix. We'll see what happens.
  9. Maybe or maybe not. NO ONE thinks this team is a juggernaut, but NO ONE thought the Red Sox were a juggernaut last year, it is what it is, we'll see what happens. You can say the same thing about MOST MLB teams and I'm referring to "but is a fringy team that will only win if everything goes right". Anyway, to each his own, but you're not saying anything groundbreaking here.
  10. Except that the called and not called strikes I saw where when the O's were pitching/catching.
  11. Not only that, but sometimes a pitch in the same location has been a ball and sometimes a strike. Not to mention calling Reyes out on that dribbler even though the throw was right on the line, just atrocious. If anyone watches soccer, the refs in that sport are just as bad, they screwed Croatia today on a clear dive.
  12. Bautista swinging at pitchers' pitches inside. Oh well, get them next time.
  13. So Blue Jays have given up a 2-run HR in the 1st inning of each of the last 4 games? That's gotta be a record.
  14. Basically, it's far from a perfect team, but as I've said since ST, look closely at the other teams and you'll find a lot of parity. The team is in a good spot, we'll see what they do to improve the team.
  15. Those freaking out probably think the team should be playing at the pace they were on during the streak, pretty wacko. Some of these same people probably thought Francisco WAS the next EE or Bautista and were posting about how Rasmus wasn't needed anymore...well, baseball is a cruel sport, the more you play, the more you are exposed.
  16. How long till the "official-fire-AA" thread is bumped? I say 5 minutes.
  17. Think this is a move to try to help Buffalo. Same as when they acquired that LHP and that C they sent to NH (Gimenez?) which was followed up by promoting Jimenez to Buffalo.
  18. You just know the first time he has a rough outing certain people will bring up the lack of height. I love his ability to command the FB on the corners plus his ability to throw a soft and hard slider, a cutter and a developing change up. It's funny how people bring up the height issue with Stroman, but Happ is 6'6" and no one says "maybe his height is a problem, in that he's too tall"...lol. Anyway...
  19. Count me in as well. I said it earlier in the year. Gibbons hasn't been very good with his bullpen management, IMO. Anyway....beat the O's!
  20. Pretty much nailed it. When Rasmus is back, I'd even send down Gose and keep Mastroianni to platoon at CF. Mastro can also steal some bags like Gose off the bench so that's fine.
  21. Take at least 2 from the O's and I'll be happy. Hopefully, this slump makes Buck and Tabler STFU about Seitzer, but we know that's wishful thinking.
  22. They're officially struggling, expect BTS and company back soon. On another note, I don't get why Gibbons uses Delabar and Cecil down by 4 in the 8th inning yesterday, but goes with Korecky today. Just haven't been happy with his bullpen usage all year, but not blaming him for another loss. After all, can't win if you don't score.
  23. The bottom 3 in the lineup are pretty bad, but Gibbons wanted to shore up the defense today so you've gotta live with it.
  24. Twins catcher must be a better framer than the great Kratz 'cause they keep getting borderline strikes while Stroman doesn't
