Well it's a high school so it doesnt surprise me, although apparently a teacher was leading the charge lol. He does wear a C on his jersey

Apparently my cousin told me a bunch of sabre fans at his school hated the trade and gave up on the franchise..I didnt even know what to say..
  5. Yea Farrel was a lot more helpful in securing wins than Victorino or Napoli.
  6. Its outdated, but from what I can tell, my team is around 90 points. Dont really think anyone comes close to that
  7. And yet St louis only gives 4.5: 1 odds to come back. People with large bank accounts should bet heavy on Boston
  8. "You need superstars to compete in this league, and the playing field for those guys is tilted toward a few big-market teams. They are demanding trades and getting together and deciding where they want to go in free agency. It's tough for us to compete with that. So a high lottery pick is all we have." For all the crap we give Selig..at least the MLB isnt a total s*** show when it comes to competitive balance. Probably the only league im aware of that teams openly lose games on purpose because building a team the proper way rarely works.
  9. Yea the pirates are the organization that shocks me..they probably have 5 prospects that are better than Sanchez alone
  10. Lance Lynn is a beast..moving to the AL East isnt going to make him forgot how to pitch
  11. What exactly were you guys using to get the value for each player
  12. He's hit at every level in the minors, just not a power threat. When in doubt, never go against a card prospect
  13. "It is not often that you see a manager make a move, especially in the World Series, that is inarguably stupid. It’s hard to believe that somebody, anybody, didn’t stop him from doing it." Referencing letting Wokrman hit during the 9th
  14. Honestly I dont know why people are blaming that on him. Salty pulled a JP..chucked that ball down the line for the loss. Even a perfect throw has no shot at beating him and he threw it into the runner
  15. Well the bar I was at was filled with Boston Haters..fun times. But that loss is all on Salty..imagine what would have been the reaction had JP chucked that ball into left field during the playoffs
  16. Well we actually have a lot of good players to sell of if a new gm came in and wanted to build this team the proper way. That's what makes this team so frustrating, that we dont need to add more all star type players to the roster, just the much needed 2-2.5 war role players that championship teams have to compliment their stars..not f***ing JP and Izzy
  17. This may just be me talking out of my ass and probably is, but it looks like the first base market has rapidly declined recently. Adam Lind's bat was almost a league average in 2011/2012. It just doesnt seem like theres a group of slugging first basemen anymore, while theres decent bats you could just plug in the outfield and they wont embarrass themselves out there. It just doesnt seem like a big deal to put Bautista at first for me because it isnt really stopping a team from going out and signing another big time bat, simply because there arent any out there anymore ( big time FA's not withstanding)
  18. 1) Not by much, like I said he doesnt play a preium defensive position, and not well so he doesnt lose much value. He should be shifted to 1st here. 2) UZR over a 1 year sample is a crap stat. He's -2.8 from 2010 to 2013. He didnt suddenly become a much better defender this year
  19. Not really. Hes a corner outfielder who isnt all that great of a defender in the first place.
  20. Well they could stick him at first, where they have a hole. Holland's solid, but getting one of their middle infielders makes a lot more sense.

Do you know these people in real life? If so id get new friends
  22. If you re-did that (2009) draft, even with (Stephen) Strasburg, no doubt 30 out of 30 would take Trout one-one every time. Like no s*** sherlock..glad we need a pro scout to confirm this for us. Baseball scouting and management has become such a joke and it reminds me of goverment employees. You just need to know someone to get in, abilities/skills are irrelevant.
  23. Not really. They generally were flying over their heads, out of the stadium
  24. Yes but that shouldnt have added valued to the deal, even though it was included. If so, its pretty stupid to give up prospects for the privilege to sign an upcoming FA in a year to a extension.
  25. I skipped to a random mid way point and saw Sanchez hit 2 batters within 30 seconds..
