  1. But they had clear payroll room for Chapman until February when they signed Turner
  2. He should probably fire Boras
  3. I try bringing up the Orioles game on MLB.tv using the app on my Sony smart TV. Get an error message saying I don't have access even though I get the same game on my laptop with the same account. Call MLB and they tell me MLB.tv no longer supports Sony TVs (what?). Now the game is working fine. Every year I'm amazed at how s***** MLB is to people who are actually willing to pay $210 to watch their games. Lets focus on weekly Apple and Youtube games instead of actually having a streaming service that works.
  4. Neither of us have any ability to change the settings.
  5. I wonder how far apart they were when Turner signed. If there was any interest at all from the team, there must have been a take it or leave it offer in late January.
  6. I’m kind of just waiting on Hurl/admin to say something
  7. They could have just not signed Turner. Or moved Green. Or Kikuchi. Or not signed Yariel Rodriguez. Or not signed Kiermaier. Yimi Garcia makes a third of Chapman's CBT hit. "They signed IKF and thus didn't have the money for Chapman" is way too simplistic. They could easily have had both. They operated all offseason as though they either didn't really want him at any price, or he didn't want to come back. It's been a bad offseason in the aggregate, but pinning all of it on the signing of a guy who makes like 3% of their payroll is silly.
  8. I’m not accepting an L on that post. I don’t think IKF’s salary prevented them from signing Chapman. If they otherwise felt that a deal was workable, salary could have been moved out to accommodate. Either they didn’t want him, or he didn’t want them. Chapman's salary would have been easy to fit right up until early February, when they signed Turner. They likely knew at that point that Chapman wouldn't be returning.
  9. Or Chapman didn’t want to come back
  10. He’ll make almost as much as Chapman this year lmao
  11. Another one is Chad Green. You don’t pay a setup man 10.5M if it means you can’t afford 18M for a 3-war 3B
  12. Unless Chapman hated it in Toronto or something Shapiro should have Ross walked out by security tomorrow. Disastrous, embarrassing offseason.
  13. Chapman to SF for 3/54. Ross Atkins is pretty f***ing stupid.
  14. Yeah, he seems a bit delusional about his value
  15. Seems like it would be a reasonable solution
  16. I’m nuking like 50+ accounts a day for the last week. Something needs to be done.
  17. Kike Hernandez was unusually candid in this interview. Pretty interesting.
  18. Domingo German probably gets like 2M if he signs at all, and might actually be pretty decent now that he's not literally boozing before games.
  19. lol, sorry. I was just looking at merrifield’s history and it caught me by surprise. To your credit, you flipped him for Alcantara.
  20. wat Feb 10 2021 Traded to Greenwood wOBA The Hutt trades away Whit Merrifield Greenwood trades away Bobby Witt Jr.
  21. Hopefully they cut rosters back down to 25 while they’re at it. A 5-man bench is silly
  22. Yeah, it's been a real problem for a few days now
  23. Seems pretty clear that if he doesn't sign this offseason he's not coming back
  24. Hendriks can (presumably) be IL'd. Keeping Bauer on your active dynasty roster for 2024 if he doesn't sign in the next couple weeks would be pathological
  25. This might actually be the dumbest argument in the history of this forum
