I don't really see Leake's age as a positive over Estrada. If Estrada being older is the difference between a 2-year deal and a 5-year deal, I'll take the older guy. You don't want to be locked into a back end starter for 5 years.

Have discussed with a few teams this offseason the possibility of moving Wade Davis for a top-25 type of prospect. If this interests you, let me know. Betances also still on the table, but nothing has been close yet. Very good under-30 3B or OF or blue chip prospect still the asking price.

I'm in a hockey league that doesn't cap farms. The league has been going for 13 years. Some teams have hundreds of prospects, some of which have retired. Nobody wants to delete a guy from their control if they don't have to, on the off chance that he eventually becomes useful, and it just creates a giant mess. We'd have guys rostering the Deck McGuires of the world, and it becomes very tedious to look through the farm to find interesting guys in trade talks. I think maybe adding 1-2 spots, or adding 1-2 keepers as Dinger suggests should be the furthest we go from DDL/BBDl format. The DDL has been chugging along flawlessly for 3.5 years now.

The biggest problem would be that the lack of motivation to cut anyone would result in giant prospect lists over time. I don't want to wade through 50 names when talking trade. I think I hate this.
