  1. Confirmed. My first BORED trade.
  2. Have you identified any forum members as likely owners of a micropenis, aside from njh?
  3. Anybody want Junior Guerra for a pick upgrade? I need to move a starter before Saturday, and he's been useful: 12.1% whiff rate, and projected at a 3.98 ERA with almost 10 K/9.
  4. Fun fact: Someone (I forget who) just gave up a 1st round pick for this gas can in BBDL a few weeks ago. I think it might have been top-10.
  5. I don't think the Red Sox are set up all that well long-term either. The can outspend Toronto by probably $50M though, which helps.
  6. If anyone wants Tolleson for some reason, you can have him for close to free.
  7. But that flow tho
  8. Yeah, as things stand I think most people would put their money on neither being back. It looks like both players will finish with worse seasons than in 2015, there is already some dead money committed to Tulo and Martin, and Donaldson will soon require a big contract. Letting both walk seems like the correct choice right now.
  9. This team looks a lot like the over-the-hill teams we saw for years in Chicago, New York (both), Philly etc... before they realized that expensive vets in their mid 30s can't be the foundation of a perennially successful team, especially when you have a mid-tier payroll. That isn't to say that they can't hold off father time for one more season, but the struggling core players are old, and skill decline happens to everyone. I think that the regime change happened just in time. Doubling down on what happened last trade deadline would not have been wise. The supporting cast has been good enough to give the stars a chance to win, and to this point, the stars have looked their age.
  10. I really hope that Travis' return means I've seen the last of Ryan Goins on my TV.
  11. Boxy and some other guy with like 100 posts.
  12. Hurl's team isn't that bad and yours isn't that good. No reason to be embarrassed IMO.
  13. Take weams off your IL and re-read.
  14. So another thread has been completely derailed because trolling is not a bannable offense? Cool.
  15. This is it exactly. Martin, Tulo, Encarnacion, and Bautista put up 14.8 fWAR last year. They were projected to put up 14 this year. We're 25% of the way through the season and they're at 0.6 fWAR. That's about three wins less than their projected pace. That's the difference between 19-21 and 22-18. We can talk all we want about the bullpen and Gibbons and Thole, but the reality is that if the high-priced star players continue to hover around their current paces, there is nothing that AA or Shartkins could have done to bring this team to the playoffs. It's on the stars to start playing.
  16. Have you been paying attention to what's happened this season?
  17. How is this a plan coming together? The additions they've made have largely been useful (Happ, Estrada, Floyd, Biagini, Barney). The reason why this team is under 0.500 is that it's May 17th and they have received replacement level production from the Bautista-Encarnacion-Tulowitzki-Martin foursome. That's a huge amount of dead weight, and there is no chance that management is pleased about it.
  18. Wow, apparently Garrett Richards is rehabbing his elbow.
  19. o2, you're a mod. Why the f*** are you s***ing up the GDT with a flamewar against obvious troll accounts. You're better than this.
  20. How can this account not be banned? Jesus Christ, do your jobs mods.
  21. There's no way Boxy rosters Appel past the cut again in 10 months.
