  1. So, like, Kikuchi is pitching like an ace right now
  2. Koochie just absolutely clowned on Soto
  3. I actually think they should consider springing for Montana's or Kelsey's. Think of how bad things would be right now if Ross had appeased these people with 300M in contracts for Bellinger and Chapman in November.
  4. Astute fans have grown to appreciate watching IKF get absolutely all of the ball for a 70 mph single into shallow left center.
  5. More than twice the WAR of Chapman, Urshela, Rosario and Bellinger combined. A lot of people from this forum owe Ross an apology.
  6. Holy crap IKF's xwOBA is 0.349
  7. That's the optimal lineup
  8. Did Votto literally die from stubbing his toe on a bat or whatever? Christ almighty.
  9. Would have optioned Francis down to stay stretched out instead of Pearson. Rodriguez should be good for 90 pitches, so the team has a legit five-man rotation and loaded pen. Richards is fine as the long guy.
  10. Wasn't making the point as a springboard to attack AA. Not even necessarily to praise Atkins, because at this point the lack of controllable impact talent is on the current FO. But it's actually remarkable that they've won 91, 92, 89 games the last three years given how much of the roster had had to come from vets on FA contracts. And they've done it without really mortgaging the future with bad contracts. All that to say, if there's a team in league that needs to find away to land an elite offensive player, it's this one.
  11. Bo has been good, but my point was just that the FO has basically been rotating the deck chairs around a core that's basically just a single 4-win player, and doing a pretty good job of it. The "core" is basically just one guy at this point, with various external additions. And that one guy is likely gone in < 2 years.
  12. This is my first exposure to a professional golf argument. Fascinating stuff.
  13. Holliday busting would be an amazing development
  14. Yeah. It’s actually kind of a huge testament to the quality of the front office that they’ve assembled a winning team around the Vlad and Bo “core”. Basically a 90-win team assembled from FA signings and waiver claims.
  15. I can’t get over how bad Bo and Vlad have been. This team needs to find a way to add an elite player this offseason. We look like the f***ing Giants.
  16. Mostly agree, but the pitching has felt fine. Parsons and Espino got nuked, but in low leverage spots and they're gone now. Francis got nuked but he's probably gone now with Rodriguez taking his spot. Only real concern is Gausman, but hopefully his next start goes well and we can stop worrying. SPs and high leverage relief have been pretty solid I think, especially given that Romano and Swanson were out.
  17. You don't need to post about Martinez multiple times every GDT
  18. Legit can't believe this team might soon be 9-8 with the twin black holes in the 2/3 slots.
  19. Vlad decided he was going to swing at that before the pitch left Marinaccio's hand
  20. Bassitt is an absolute pro. Pretty scared of whoever will be asked to get the ball to Jimmy in the 9th.
  21. Ugly swing by Turner there
  22. Gil was doing everything he could to give them a big lead and they just wouldn't take it
