One of the only things I'd like to see is the end of expanded rosters in September. For 5 months + playoffs it's a game played between 25-man rosters, and then in September you have 30-35 guys. At the very least, force teams to identify a 25-man roster before every game and make all others illegible. -
He still has three years of team control at a very affordable rate. Some team is going to convince themselves that he's not finished yet at 29 years old and make a better offer than a couple of fringy guys not even in the top-100 prospects. I think they'd be pretty justified asking for Stroman actually. Both having previous success, both having absolute s*** years. Abreu with the better track record, Stroman cheaper. 4 years of control for Stro, 3 for Abreu. I'm not endorsing that move, but I'm pretty sure that's what the ask would be given the poor state of the team's farm.

I don't think Toronto has the assets without dipping into Sanchez or Stroman.

Simple solution: get warm in the pen, no warmup pitches on the mound, no commercial break for pitching changes. Boom, at least 10 minutes cut off game times. -

I think Boxy means trading MLB players for picks, and then burning most of then every year. Frenchsoup's team is better than any Gibbers has ever assembled.

Meh. I actually think he cares about his team, so it doesn't really bother me that he's shooting himself in the foot. I don't really want to set the precedent of having the league approve picks. If he started trading his MLB pieces for nothing, than I'd suggest that the league step in.

It would be easy to get around that. Have a sign set up for "hold your arm like you're sore - I'm coming to take you out". The league can't force teams to leave pitchers in the game if their personal health is at risk. -
The thing is, he's active, sets his lineups, and responds to trade requests. All of his trades have been defensible at the very least. He's having the worst draft I've ever seen, but I think he's serious about the league, so it wouldn't be appropriate to step in. Hopefully he changes his MO when he has to cut every player he's drafted this year

Aside from the whole "most picks will fail anyway, so who really cares who he takes" purposely wasting an entire draft on guys who nobody else would roster, and thus acquiring nothing of any trade value, is a terrible plan.
