    Some people will think it's too much. Some won't. The bottom line is that the punishment has to actually sting. A 2nd rounder for a team that owns three 1sts doesn't. Dinger's very late 1st (the 3rd pick jaysblue has in the draft) is far from crippling, but it's enough to hurt. The intent here is to set a precedent of significant repercussions in order to deter owners from being careless about this type of thing. It's not something that should happen.

    So we've decided that L54 will get to choose a starter of jaysblue's to sit this weekend (will be Bumgarner if he doesn't choose one), and jaysblue will be fined Dinger's 1st round MiLB pick in 2017.

    Over the course of three games Martin got hit on the bare hand twice and had a knee on knee collision on home. I don't think it's fair to criticize Gibby for giving him a day off. We have no idea what was said behind closed doors. I do wish the backup catcher was someone who isn't Saltalamacchia though.

    My only issue with him yesterday is that Howell isn't someone you tell to go out an pitch an inning regardless of who is up. He's a situational lefty.
