  1. He'll be up by the end of the month, whether it's to push Toles to 4th OF or replace A-Gon.
  2. Yeah. There's not much here to build around if we're talking 2018 and beyond. Donaldson at 30M per year, Travis (who might suck), Pillar (defense only CF), and three pitchers 3 years from free agency.
  3. It's not as simple as blaming someone for Bautista. It was the right move to bring him back for 1/18 or whatever. Neither AA nor Shapiro should have traded him. The problem is that, more generally, the entire core of the team are old guys on free agent contracts, and it's impossible to predict when these guys are going to hit a cliff.
  4. They're playing the hand they were dealt. I don't think anyone thought it was ideal to enter the season with a core of 30+ year old guys and no prospects close, but nobody would have been convinced that any of them, individually, was going to fall of a cliff in a given season. My point is that this team's eventual failure is going to happen because the core AA built around aged out with nothing in the system coming to replace them. If Martin, Tulo, Travis, and Bautista hang on another year the team should be alright. If they fall off a cliff... well, we're seeing what that looks like. I hate that Smoak, Goins, and Carrera are on the team, but no amount of peripheral additions is going to make up for a mid-30s core that's hitting free agency and/or seeing steep decline one after another.
  5. It's tough to blame Shapiro when Tulo, Bautista, Martin and Travis have sucked. That's AA's core. Hell, the AA guys he's let walk either haven't played (Price) or are stinking up the joint as badly as the guys still here (Edwin and Saunders).
  6. Walks in the tying run. Still none out.
  7. I wonder how long the Dodgers can wait on Cody Bellinger? He had a 195 wRC+ before today and went 2 for 3 with a walk and his 3rd homer. A-Gon has to hear the footsteps.
  8. That seems like a pretty reasoanble deal for both teams.
  9. At least Loup has been nails!
  10. Man Pearce looks utterly defeated on the bench.
  11. Even Tulo now FFS
  12. The ship is sinking. Play for your contracts.
  13. I hate this season.
  14. Oh god, now Happ is dead?
  15. This is the closest you came, while repeatedly saying that Stroman isn't a viable SP: So, while still very dumb posts, King was slightly exaggerating.
  16. Hope this helps.
  17. I'm literally just trying to help. Your conversation here won't work if you're under the misconception that Pillar is off to anything but a horrible start.
  18. Actually Pillar is off to a horrible start by every means. Hope this helps.

    NHL Thread

This thread has been dead to me since it became obvious that prime trolling time was over. Hopefully they suck next year.

    Yeah, this has been outstanding
  21. Trying to catch you guys in Ks. Crossing my fingers that he doesn't completely implode.
  22. After mocking the Booze Hounds for rostering RA Dickey, I've used him for both of his starts
  23. GD finding his way into the DDL without ever actually being invited has been a masterful display.
  24. He was pretty unambiguous. He wanted you to be the only owner, and him to be removed completely. He removed you as co-owner so I could replace him with you.
