  1. So knowing that you'll have to cut down to 12 before the July draft, you'll have to decide if you still want to make the deal.
  2. KEEPER RULES On March 1st prior to the rule 5 Draft (March 7) – teams must trim their MLB rosters down. Teams can roster a maximum of 32 total players through the cut down with a maximum of 22 MLB and 14 MiLB being allowed. For example, teams can decide to keep 22 of their MLB players but would only be allowed to carry 10 MiLB. If teams choose this setup their redundant waiver picks will dissolve. If teams acquire more than 12 prospects via trade or draft then they can cut down to a minimum 18 MLB players and carry a maximum of 14 prospects through the cut down period but will be required to cut down to a maximum of 12 prospects before the July MiLB draft. Trades between the cut date and the Rule 5 Draft need to have equal numbers of MLB players + waiver picks on both sides, to ensure each team exits the Rule 5 Draft with 25 players. After the season has concluded and prior to the Cut Date, roster size (both MLB and MiLB) is unlimited. Owners may acquire as many MLB & MiLB players via trade as they wish, so long as their rosters are cut down to the maximum allowable size by mid-February. No free agents may be picked up via the Yahoo database after the conclusion of the playoffs until the conclusion of the Rule 5 Draft.
  3. Right, you're allowed 14 until the MiLB draft, but then I think we have to cut down to 12. Trying to find the confirmation on this now. Anyone have it handy?
  4. I believe jays_fever needs to drop or promote two prospects to make this deal happen.
  5. Sean Doolittle is about to go on a rehab assignment, so I'm looking at trading Mychal Givens to open up a spot. In a league with 22 keeper spots, I think he's a pretty nice pen arm. 2.85 ERA since breaking in in 2015 with 10.86 K/9. He's currently the 149th most valuable player in our league this year.
  6. You need to activate Sandoval before I add Castillo.
  7. But why would anyone want to play Russ at 3B?
  8. Everything OK Greenwood? You've been really salty for months now.
  9. I'm surprised you're so bearish on Alonso. He's always been a toolsy hitter, which is why he stuck around so long despite not really performing. He talked before the season about swinging harder and getting the ball in the air, which is exactly what he's done. He was a guy with big power who couldn't get to it in games because he had a slap hitter approach. Now he's a power hitter using the approach that a power hitter should use. I have a lot of guys playing above their career levels this year (Alonso, LoMo, Hernandez, Taylor, Vargas) and easily the one I buy into the most is Alonso.
  10. M Alonso F Smoak K LoMo The year of the post-post-post hype 1B prospect though.
  11. Please try to stay on topic here, which in this case is that Yonder Alonso is good now and you will be forced to admit it eventually.
  12. He has exactly has many homers as Yonder Alonso, in 58 more PA!
  13. Also, he didn't accrue any stats so it's a non-issue.
  14. Have mods given any thought to going through with people's recommendation to have moderator approval of new accounts before they can post? It would get rid of the twice-daily Viagra and cialis adds.
  15. Looks like 1-2 months. This does indeed suck.
  16. Sorry Dinger. I lost my pet of 10 years in March. It feels a lot like an actual family member dying, with the big difference being that you get over it a lot faster (for me anyway).
  17. PM'd him yesterday. You should have a response from him today.
  18. Hurt his thumb on a steal attempt, left game. Update is that x-rays were negative and it's a sprain.
  19. Nothing on twitter yet. I am scared.
  20. GD is in the lottery. Yahoo tiebreak had him 16th and Havok 15th.
  21. Does anyone want to volunteer to turn the 2017 MiLB picks into actual pick numbers on the sheet?
  22. Processed the deal on the sheet.
  23. Damn, nice deal. I like that return for Schwarbs, especially if he loses C eligibility.
