I'm surprised you're so bearish on Alonso. He's always been a toolsy hitter, which is why he stuck around so long despite not really performing. He talked before the season about swinging harder and getting the ball in the air, which is exactly what he's done. He was a guy with big power who couldn't get to it in games because he had a slap hitter approach. Now he's a power hitter using the approach that a power hitter should use. I have a lot of guys playing above their career levels this year (Alonso, LoMo, Hernandez, Taylor, Vargas) and easily the one I buy into the most is Alonso.
