I've closed the poll on eliminating the cutdown beginning in 2021. Rough schedule of events in the near future: 1. 2020 cut down (our last time doing this) - February 29th 2. waiver draft - will begin as soon as I've determined that every time has compliant cut down rosters, likley the first few days of March 3. 2020 MiLB draft - same time as usual, after the signing deadline of the MLB draft 4. 2021 NPD new player draft - February 2021 So to recap, after 2021 we will have a single NPD every February and will never have to trim our rosters. We'll also have year-round access to the FA pool. I'm going to have to close the 2020 draft in Fantrax before the start of the season, so 2020 MiLB picks will disappear and have to be tracked on the spreadsheet until our July MiLB draft. This will be the last time we have to worry about manually tracking any picks. I'll wait until late March to process this, so that and trades made over the next 6-7 weeks can be processed in Fantrax as usual.

Dusty Baker's job is going to be to fill out lineup cards the way management wants him to, handle his pitching staff the way management wants him to, and draw on his 50 something years of baseball experience to deal with the media and keep the clubhouse happy. I don't think this hire is nearly as consequential as most people are making it seem. He might even be the right guy for the job.

Even some of those guys are a bit more interesting than what typically fills up the end of the roster I think. Gaviglio does a pretty good job soaking up bulk innings from the pen, and I think would quickly find an MLB job if he were cut. I find Romano at least a bit interesting now that he throws 95+ in relief, and he still has options. OF is probably the easiest place to raise the floor right now. I wouldn't miss Alford, Davis, or McKinney at all if they were punted off the roster, but at least Davis and McKinney are optionable.

I wonder who’s being removed from the 40 to make room. Pannone kind of sticks out. Alford and Valera too now that they’re out of options. They've done a great job building depth. I don’t remember the last time their was so little dead weight on the roster.

I've moved Ohtani to your roster and added Adam Jones to EZe's roster. In the 10-12 days that Ohtani pitches this year he'll be moved to EZe and Adam Jones will be moved to you. If the team that owns Jones drops him, it will be considered an Ohtani drop.
