I think we should just re-do the process without the confusion of different time slots for the players to come off waivers. The setting has been fixed, so this shouldn't come up again. Is anyone able to process this today before games start? Also, players should come off waivers before games Friday. Also, if any team who made a claim runs of out ads this week because of a canceled add, I'll do one manually so they don't lose an add over this.

If that happened, I think the fairest way to approach this is to put everyone back on waivers (but ending like Friday morning or something so the teams claiming SPs still get their next start) and reverse the waiver order to what it was last night. Also, I'm at work and I'm not doing this on mobile, so I can't actually process any of this today.

Being a journeyman hurts his reputation with the baseball writers. If he had played his entire career with the Cards and Yadi moved around every 4 years or whatever Martin would be looked at as the first ballot HoFer.

Well, I think Martin and McCann should be in. Piazza and Pudge are the only two modern-day catchers in the hall - there should be more. "Voting shall be based upon the player's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to the team(s) on which the player played." My perception is that voters actually do like longevity with the same team when voting. And I don't have a problem with that - it seems defensible under the BBWA rules.

I'm pretty open to the idea that pitchers know what they're talking about when they say they love throwing to Perez. He's going to end up starting like 1500 games at C for the same team, while winning a world series and being a league average bat. He probably also does a lot of things that don't show up in the WAR, but that his pitchers appreciate. I don't really have a problem with him eventually making the HoF. By those standards though, a glaring HoF omission would be Jorge Posada.

Weathers and Grove are basically waiver fodder. I'd take the Hendriks side, but I could see liking Ortiz enough to prefer him.

Man, the first week of Spring Training was absurd. People losing their minds over every violation, acting like the game was being irreparably damaged.
