I'm really struggling with Stuff+ as a metric. Luis Castillo has looked dominant, but his stuff grades out the same as Rich Hill and Zack Greinke. His stuff is a lot worse than Nestor Cortes', per Stuff+.

Their pitching staff has -2.7 fWAR with an 8.08 ERA. It’s remarkable that that they’ve assembled something so bad.

Has a team ever had no 2-WAR players? There's a real path there for Oakland. Nobody on the pitching staff is a good bet. It's basically just Ruiz and Langeliers with a real shot offensively. Ruiz swings a pool noodle and isn't even really good at defense, and Langeliers just doesn't seem to be much good.

I can't get over how few assets they have after selling Olson, Chapman, Montas, Manaea, Murphy, and Bassitt. Basically Shea Langeliers and Esteury Ruiz. Christian Bethancourt, who Oakland traded to TB for a bag of balls last year, would be leading their team in fWAR. Just an embarrassing, incompetent, shameful organization.
