    Trout is heavier than he was when he came up, he's stealing bases at about 30% the rate he did previously, and his base running value is down about 10 runs. It's not inconceivable that his defense is also down by 10 runs or so.

    Henderson Alvarez and Yunel Escobar combined have provided more fWAR than everyone received in the trade, and they've done it for $11 million.

    This very likely means that the rebuild doesn't start this offseason. So another wasted season in 2015, and hopefully a new management team before 2016. Figure on 3-4 years for the new group to clean up the mess and construct a new competitive core, and we're looking at contention in 2019-2020. If competent people are hired. f***, I want so much to genuinely cheer for this team again.

    Buehrle out and a legit top-tier arm in and the rotation is pretty legit. Easier said than done obviously though.
