  1. They never learn. Every time a player can feasibly be defended as a major league player, he makes the team instead of being held in AAA as quality depth.
  2. I don't know anything about Tropeano. Is he a guy?
  3. Over Thole? Absolutely.
  4. That's valid. I think they're both replacement level, but with framing undervalued it's easier to significantly upgrade C than 2B. Should have acquired Conger.
  5. IMO: 1. C 2. 2B 3. OF 4. bench 5. bullpen
  6. AA is probably despairing them by offering Happ and wanting Kendrick's contract covered.
  7. Is Dirks still capable of that level of play? League-average hitter with no platoon splits and no baserunning value. You have to assume he's still a good LF defender at 29 after disk surgery to pencil him in at 1+ WAR.
  8. Four replacement-level starters, an awful bench, and weak bullpen isn't doing it for you?
  9. I have no idea where you guys find the time.
  10. I have no idea who those guys are.
  11. There just isn't a whole lot out there. Assuming Sandoval and Hanley are too expensive, you have Lowrie, Cabrera, Drew, and Headley. IMO Cabrera is going to get a multi-year deal and is a decent bet to tank completely, and Drew really isn't bankable at all. Headley and Lowrie on ~3/40 deals are really the only attractive options.
  12. They could roll with Greiss + Gustavsson/Enroth/Fasth next year and get the same value for like 1/3 of what they'll spend.
  13. It makes sense to keep Pompey in AAA if they can. That way when someone goes down you have a proper backup. They really should add an OF though. Right now it's Bautista, and then a bunch of low-ceiling high-risk guys who might contribute if things go well. An Aoki would be great.

  15. What a stupid waste of money.
  16. Dodgers have figured that throwing cash at the front office is the best way to spend.
  17. Ugh, again: I'm not giving a cash reward to the winner.
  18. Ewww. That's two pure DH's who just to maybe get a 110 wRC+ from the position.
  19. I've had like 3 teams flirt with making a deal for him multiple times.
  20. You don't think they'll keep Reynolds around?
  21. I think he'll be very good. Why do you take pleasure in my misery?
  22. http://www.nooooooooooooooo.com/
  23. Yup. If he ends up in Boston or New York or something I'll likely keep him and move a different bat. Pretty much anywhere is better than KC I guess.
  24. Still shopping Billy Butler for a prospect or two. He should be out of KC next year!
