  1. Yeah, 10th inning, Reyes should have dropped down a bunt.
  2. Jay, anyone who complains about a game like this should just go f*** themselves. I've enjoyed this game win or lose.
  3. Yup. At some point you have to cut ties. This is a team intent on contending next season and as you mentioned Morrow is not getting any younger. We have some younger options close to the majors who would have pushed him out anyways at some point. I like Colon for a year and change and then the Jays have the option of letting all three of Buehrle, Dickey and Colon walking after the 2015 season. Granted Dickey does have an option for 2016.
  4. I'm not arguing the move, just the logic.
  5. Well seeing as Happ and Morrow are almost certainly gone after this season, we would have one open rotation spot. Unless we want Sanchez or Norris breaking camp in the rotation, it might be a good idea to have one more innings eater in the mix. It's a short term deal and when the inevitable injuries hit, we would have some very capable depth in the minors.

Keeping the core together was a wise decision and based on the fact that these guys chose to come back says a lot about where this team is. Toronto's rep is growing across the NBA and hopefully some key FA's will take note in the coming seasons.

VC would be the icing on the cake of a fantastic offseason. At this point in his career he would be a great role player and is still capable of having some big games.
  8. I hate that logic. People say it isn't their money and then when there isn't any left they whine like idiots.
  9. Definitely not a great fit, but he should be a very capable backend guy and eat up some valuable innings. If the cost is not too high, and I would imagine it isn't, might be a solid option.
  10. He is going to be our 2015 starting CF.
  11. Beltre would be a more significant upgrade to this team over a SP. The infield D would improve substantially, the lineup becomes an absolute nightmare for opposing pitchers and the bench gets stronger, all with one single move.
  12. Couple more million that what Morrow will cost and will likely outperform him.
  13. Only when it's convenient.
  14. Jays have to win by two or more to negate the protest. Unless they lose the game of course.
  15. I don't have a specific game, but I've seen tags stir s*** up.
  16. They replay the game from the point of the protest. So they would replay the game from the top of the second with the bases loaded and two out.
