  1. Agreed. This board is pretty clean in terms of spamming, especially when we're fairly active in merging/moving/deleting threads. Trolls don't have the power to spam like they once did on the old forum and the only thing that feeds them is people getting sucked into their conversations. Doesn't matter now anyways, cause if that guy or any other new poster resembling him comes back the ban hammer will show no mercy.
  2. The Yankees are going to rebound this year.
  3. f*** him. He can go f*** his half priced chicken wings at hoops with his transsexual buddy dogg.
  4. Publicly.
  5. Well MohYou is no more. I always try to be fair, but I do think the ban hammer needs to be extended more at times.
  6. Spanky is that you?
  7. In either case, even if Stroman ends up in the pen eventually, that has value. Not nearly as much as if he were starting, but he could end up a good closer and would be a valuable trading chip down the line if that were to happen,
  8. f*** off. We try to be fair and you just make idiotic posts like this. I've had enough. Go back to the other forum. Bye Bye.
  9. I agree, however the direction of the deflection do raise some interesting questions.
  10. You made this very weird.
  11. I'm going with Stroman. He is closer to the bigs, and has has success at higher levels and does not have the control issues of Sanchez. I really don't expect much from Sanchez to be honest. He has a higher ceiling, but the odds of him achieving it are slim.
  12. If and when anyone steps the line temporary bans will be the norm at the minimum. Some of the regulars on this board have gotten away with much worse and think they are immune. We try to be fair, but if people just want to complain about everything and not appreciate what we do then why cut any slack for anyone? Harmless or not, it's f***ing BS.
  13. Ditto.
  14. I guess February then cause I'm assuming some people will be busy over the holidays. Make sure you invite MohYou.
  15. We should set something up in January and catch an NFL game.
  16. They can makeup at Hoops with half price wings afterwards. That's where all the big shot finance guys go.
  17. Just so people are aware, this is actually done periodically. Most assumptions are wildly inaccurate.
  18. I'm not a fan of the window and never have been. That being said I can't do anything to control what they do, and considering they are moving ahead with this window, what else is there to do but consider options to improve the team? I'm not advocating trading the farm, never have been. However, I'm not opposed to moving a highly risky arm like Sanchez if we're getting another youngish player back that won't be completely depreciated in 3 years when greater number of internal options present themselves.
  19. Not really, life takes up too much time right now.
  20. Ken, I agree. The problem is last offseason should never have happened. AA went big and then just kept going. Nothing we can do about it other than either cheer this team on, sulk or follow another team. The point I'm trying to make is that we're in limbo right now and personally I think there is no worse position to be in. AA either has to fix the roster and try to compete or admit defeat and rebuild this team. It's obvious which path AA is on, but if the resources are not there than he is just kidding himself. The more time that passes, the more it seems there may not be any money left or Rogers upper brass is now scrutinizing his every move and he has become gun shy. I think the majority of us want sustainable winning, but if it isn't happening then it just isn't.
  21. I'm just defending myself towards unwarranted comments. This wouldn't ever have any barring on the league or what I think of Chris personally after having met him on a few occasions. Just not sure why he would feel the need to insult all the mods rather than messaging us or inquiring in a way that wouldn't be a clear insult. We mod this forum on our own time because we want everyone to have a great place to talk baseball, but feel free to s*** on us. We clearly deserve it.
  22. Where did I say vets shouldn't be moved? I've been a big fan of the idea of moving Bautista and am not opposed to moving anyone on this roster if it makes sense. Addressing needs and trading vets are two different things, but feel free to spin things.
  23. That is pretty illogical. Circumstances change and adjustments need to be made. The majority of the board was against some or most of the transactions last winter, but it wasn't unreasonable to think that team at that time could contend.
