  2. Can't imagine Izturis being any damn good at all next year Come on AA, get us a REAL second baseman. Please.
  3. http://www.lolcats.com/
  4. One of my best friends lives there. Built an eye hospital that he's now having to sell and he's moving away. It's nice down by Queens where he lives but other than that yeah there's not a lot there.
  5. Ah, didn't realize. Sorry you have to live in Kingston now. (Unless it's Jamaica). LOL. J/K.
  6. Were you at game last night??
  7. Padres LOL He can be their 2015 Josh Johnson
  8. Thread title changed Hope you don't mind Olerud
  9. Are they going to keep Mauer at 23M per year for the next 4 years???
  10. Bautista sure is the mouthpiece of this team, isn't he??
  11. Yes but Bautista said it more nicely! LOL
  12. That's just 100% true. Fantastically real isn't he. And honest.
  13. Dunno. 1.1 fWAR this year with negative baserunning and an average bat (104 wRC+). + defense by UZR. I'd still take that at half price compared to Melky *IF* I knew AA would spend the savings wisely elsewhere.
  14. Counterpoint: Aoki will be 33 next year and has been no better than 1-2 WAR every year in North America.
  15. Full transcript of Bautista's weekend interview for anyone who wants to read: http://sports.nationalpost.com/2014/09/29/toronto-blue-jays-jose-bautista-talks-season-performance-pitching-and-the-future-in-extended-interview/
  16. Only mildly crazy
  17. Ryan Dempster Russell Martin Joey Votto Dissers of their Canadian home land all the time *******s. f*** all those guys. Who needs 'em! (dammit, actually, we do...)
  18. Off the cuff estimate - how long does John Farrell get to keep his job? (my answer = as long as team wins for. He got a 1 year bye this year, but they have to be better, and almost certainly will be, next 1-2 years, or he's at risk)
  19. Also RedSox/Farrell don't forget #MagikManagerz
  20. Phew! I would do all this, but zero chance AA even considers. (plus low prob of being able to sign all those FA guys anyway)
  21. John Buck was also a 6 million dollar backup
  22. That's part of the "problem" though - they both have good arms. You don't want to waste it, but getting to balls is, I presume, a much more important skill than throwing, in the overall value an outfielder provides defensively?
  23. If I extend Melky for 4-ish years, I think I'm doing so assuming he becomes a primary DH (+ backup OF only) by year 3. At that point, I suspect we're done with Adam Lind. Is everybody OK with that? At least Melky can hit every day against every pitcher, but will cost quite a bit more than Lind
