  1. Yeah. Turner likely goes back to the Dodgers when he sees no one is giving him a 4 year deal.
  2. This year: Springer A #2-3 caliber SP Bullpen help Next year Lindor/Correa/Story
  3. Hopefully they like the terms they can reach with Springer and Turner (Except Turner likely goes back to the Dodgers when he sees no one is giving him a 4 year deal)
  4. f*** Lindor and Carrasco? No way the Jays front office wasn't trying to obtain the two of them as well...
  5. Get Springer then. NOW. And either Lemahieu now or a free agent SS next year.
  6. I hope he has a good year. It's good to see players come from Asia and succeed.
  7. If they are they're in luck! His career ain't over! https://calltothepen.com/2020/12/25/daisuke-matsuzaka-new-contract-hand-ready-pitch/
  8. Indeed... https://www.google.com/amp/s/bosoxinjection.com/2020/12/26/red-sox-strange-saga-daisuke-matsuzaka/amp/
  9. One full terrible season (to be fair I think you can forgive a first bad season when changing continemts and leagues without panicking) 4/10THS of a very good season Hard to project going forward But so is Odorizzi.
  10. Seattle is hoping to start getting value for Kikuchi... 26M for 1.4 WAR so far. His first year was so bad.
  11. MLBTR Free agent righty Jake Odorizzi appears to be in position to land a three-year deal, an executive tells Rosenthal. The expectation from that industry source is that the veteran starter could secure a guarantee in the realm of $36MM to $42MM — just where MLBTR predicted he’d land. There’s still no clarity as to Odorizzi’s slate of suitors, but it stands to reason he’ll have fairly widespread appeal given that Kevin Gausman and Marcus Stroman each accepted qualifying offers, removing two primary targets from the market. Sugano or Odorizzi?
  12. Also the original "ump show"
  13. O. J. Simpson's cinematic masterpiece!
  14. Why, something else going on today??
  15. 4 years at 14M AAV? He should just stay in Japan. Wait. How much is his own team offering? I know about rhe annual opt outs but have $$ been announced?
  16. I don't like the thought of trading Gurriel for Lindor unless we're getting Springer. That would be such a massive upgrade at multiple positions if they pulled both off, with an even longer lineup and better defense all around the diamond. Otherwise I'd rather spend the money on pitching and maybe get Lindor at the trade deadline or wait until next off season to sign him or Correa or Story as free agents
  17. Aren't they done yet?!?!
  18. If the Angels don't add two starters they're not even trying
  19. If the Angels don't add two starters this off season they just don't care
  20. The Angels are making a bid to reunite manager Joe Maddon with his World Series winning backstop in Chicago Willson Contreras, writes the Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
