  1. Totally forgot Aaron Boone had open heart valve replacement surgery like 10 years ago. So this is much less of a surprise
  2. Well worse yet would be a bad left ventricle on the echo and needing a defibrillator. Is that what they were considering? Hope you keep getting better man. Covid-19 f'n sucks.
  3. Oh yeah, I know. Can happen at any age, just uncommon.
  4. Jeez, a pacemaker for someone only 47 year old is a little uncommon
  5. That's a very good question and I can't find any decent articles on the topic. The best guys seem to throw 65-69% strikes. I'm sure there IS a point, like you suggest, where you're throwing too many. You want, in some counts, for guys to chase balls out of the zone. And you want to keep them guessing. So yeah I'm sure something crazy like 90% strikes would be way too many and would probably make you too hittable.
  6. Jays really were involved at least on a check in basis on pretty much every free agent this winter and a showed a willingness to spend for the right players. They got quality and filled needs very nicely. Springer, Semien and Yates are all great, quality adds.
  7. Cespedes ran, caught, threw and hit Word on the street today is.. He looked like a DH
  8. Latest On Yoenis Cespedes March 2nd, 2021 at 8:43pm CST • By Connor Byrne Free-agent outfielder Yoenis Cespedes held a showcase in Florida that 11 teams attended on Tuesday, according to Ken Davidoff of the New York Post. 9. I prefer alien Rick thank you very much
  10. Can you smell the Sunday roast??
  11. A healthy effective Pearson changes the whole complexion of the starting rotation Fingers firmly crossed
  12. My favorite Buck comment for no particular reason Watching Brett Lawrie furiously leg out an infield single on a chopper of a ground ball to the shortop Buck: "If I'd had speed like that I'd have hit. 220!"
  13. Could they at least ask them to make it smarter please?! I mean seriously
  14. It was also Sportsnet and not the Jays who eliminated Wilner correct?
  15. http://eng.koreabaseball.com/About/AboutKbo.aspx
  16. I don't think I'd have the stomach to wait out any longer if I'm a guy sitting on any major league offer right now
  17. Couldnt he get a deal in Asia? Somehow that feels like what he should do at this point
  18. Yankees could get anything from 1 iining pitched to a Cy Young from Kluber or Taillon And they could get 100 HR or 30 HR between Stanton and Judge depending on how healthy they are
  19. Yankees first base runner in the 4th inning
  20. We have a ton of guys who can hit And a ton of guys who could fill out the back of the rotation/long relief Despite some weaknesses this a good team
  21. That's hilarious Wonder if Springer heard him and laughed his ass off
  22. Listening to Sterling and Waldman I like that they usually actually care at least a bit about players on the opposing team
  23. Yes, he's probably never going to be a positive defender at any position. Which I'm fine with if he racks up massive quantities of walks/doubles/home runs.
  24. They don't have to kill Tabler. Just fly him to the middle of a desert or forest than he can wander around forever smiling and babbling on about strong hands and real baseball players.
