Well, I mean one of the games involves the Rays, so viewership will already by lower. If they're willing to overlap the evening games on Friday, there's no reason not to have the Rays play game 1 at like 6 est and the Astros at 8 est or something.
I think Biggio is a LOT better than people are giving him credit for. It's hard to find someone like Semien though. I'm not sure anyone on the market right now could be a replacement for Semien at 2nd.
I don't like the idea of signing a guy coming off that kind of career year normally, but this is basically a repeat of 2019 so that makes me at least a little more comfortable with it.
There's a TON of great free agents this year. We have choice.
Oh yeah. It's almost certainly the wrong baseball move, but probably the right move for the Rays to potentially keep the Jays out of the playoffs and additionally not fatigue their pen. Pretty crappy move in terms of sportsmanship though.
They probably don't want to deal with the border for a single game. I'm sure they aren't thrilled with the pitching the Jays would be throwing at them either.
