    I could see guys like Chris Martin, Joe Jimenez, Daniel Bard, David Robertson, and maybe even Joe Mantiply being targets. I'd love to see Bard and Robertson.

    I wouldn't mind seeing a better base stealer and defensive replacement on the bench. Zimmer is acceptable, but I feel like it's a low-cost upgrade position. Someone like Billy Hamilton maybe, or we could try to fill it internally with Samad Taylor or Steward Berroa (both of whom will be rule 5 eligible). Taylor is probably roughly MLB ready anyway, and I double we'd care about burning an option on Berroa. Really, I'd just like to see a good reliever or two, maybe along the lines of the Cimber trade last year. I don't think we need anything dramatic. If something else falls into our lap, great.

    The ump warned him first, then he immediately did it two more times. WTF is the ump supposed to do? Sawamura has been pitching professionally for 12 years now. It's not like he's a rookie fresh out of the draft making his debut or something.

    I disagree. Most of the recent comparables to Soto are guys a few years older, but they're all (I think) great defenders. Soto is definitely NOT, and it will likely get worse with age. If guys like Trout, Betts, Lindor, Tatis Jr all topped out around 35M a year, IMO Soto at 30M is probably about right. He's potentially a sprinkler away from looking for a new career. It does not seem like a wise gamble to me in terms of risk and reward.

    I just don't get that move. Gassed pen, so of course we pull our starter after 87 pitches. He should have been out there until 120.

    I think I'd rather someone like Ayton or Nurkic (if they haven't signed yet). Durant is great, but the package to land him probably hurts us more than it helps us.

    I really hate this move. It's like the front office looked at his 86mph fastball and upper 4's xFIP the last 4 years and said "Man, I gotta get me some of that!". At least sign someone who could be tweaked to find something.

    I don't think I've ever made an illegal add in any league.

    Apparently he played football prior to bodybuilding and suffered a shoulder injury that has hurt his velocity. I think he said he now tops out at 86 or 88mph (which actually isn't horrible for 46 years old even without a shoulder injury).

    The pen is being overused by Charlie. The arms are fine. Them getting up and getting warm every game is the problem imo. We're mid-pack in innings from the pen, but we're 4th in appearances.

    I feel like this will be a high scoring game with the Jays coming back late to win it.

    If he hadn't and that next hit still happened, there's probably a play at the plate with the runner being safe and the batter advancing to 2nd too. Really bad decision on multiple levels.

    He didn't throw a whole lot of pitches. He should be fine.
