I think it would be a bad idea to make a panic trade. We need legit bats at 3rd, OF, and DH at minimum. It would be nice if the DH could play the field too, but they probably don't HAVE to. You could imagine something like Chapman / Turner + Bellinger + JD creating quite a nice lineup. That's assuming someone doesn't do something insane with Bellinger.

As much as I'd love to watch Ohtani for the next 10 years, I wouldn't be very happy to have us pay 70M a year for him. The same goes for what it would have cost us in trade for one year of Soto. The front office definitely has to do SOMETHING fairly significant to improve the team though. We can't waste the time we have with Vladdy and Bo.

We're not the Orioles.

And he'll think it's all for him. Could be hilarious!

Not a great week (a lot of guys sitting out on back-to-backs and day-to-day injuries really hurt), but most of the actual numbers aren't horrible. Ran into the wrong team on the wrong week.

Anyone else seeing weird things in the stat tracker?

I'm still not sure what team showed up. You could probably have got some amazing odds half way through the 4th quarter!

If the refs keep up with these BS calls, they might get 225 free throws alone.

My team seems to have forgotten how to put the puck in the net.

I took Middleton. Sorry for the delay, I was never notified until like an hour or so ago.

Guess it's kind of hard not to take Beal here. Speedy is up!

Why not take 2 SP slots and 1 RP slot and convert them to P slots? That would give 3 SP and 3 RP dedicated slots with the rest being flexible. It deals with the opener nonsense while still maintaining some sort of traditional balance. I don't really see the need to add additional slots. I wouldn't be opposed to combining saves and holds and adding another category though. Maybe adding something like innings pitched.

Remember when Romano was left in after an issue with his hand a few weeks ago? Let's get this done!

Twitter absolutely blew up over it. They're going to be answering questions for the next week regardless of what happens the rest of this game.

Biggio with the hardest hit of the game.

Remember how mad we used to get watching players swing out of their shoes with 2 strikes? I'm over it. At least they ran into the odd one.

And Kikuchi wasn't brought in any of those times. The plan was clearly a short leash, but I have to think Schneider had the freedom to choose when he thought it was appropriate.

Only if there's a pitching change imo.

As bad as this feels, one swing by Vladdy or Bo could wipe it all out and knock Gray out of the game too.
