  1. Well, that's not ideal.

  3. It was probably fine in previous iterations, but when multiple balls may be in the air at a time (or close to it), there's a good chance the kids won't know a ball is coming at them.
  4. No kidding. Those were some wicked cutters for batting practice pitches.
  5. So far Vladdy has both the hardest hit home run and is tied for the weakest.
  6. Yes. It's not nearly as much fun to watch.
  7. I think I prefer the old rules where the ball has to land before the next swing. It's much more fun to watch on TV at least.
  8. I think that guy is trying to set a record for the slowest national anthem in a baseball game. Good grief!
  9. I keep getting an error when trying to submit my picks with MLB
  10. HOME RUN DERBY Picking winner: 5 Points Runner up: 2 Points Robert Jr. - mphenhef, Abomination Rutschman - Garcia - Arozarena - Jonn Betts - Vladdy - JaysAllMighty, spanky Alonso - JohnHavok, jaysblue, wilko, Dylan Rodriguez -
  11. If you weigh 350 lbs, there's no possible way you're in good shape unless you're like 7 ft tall and look like a prime Arnold Schwarzenegger. Kirk is definitely overweight, but he doesn't appear to be gassed after running the bases or squatting behind the plate during a long inning. He's just slow as hell. Losing some weight would help a little, but he's never going to be an average runner even he was like 180 lbs.
  12. Right, because it's not like there's another very popular pro sport where a prerequisite for some positions is to be extremely large...
  13. He doesn't appear to be. He's definitely in the top 10 though.
  14. So heading into the all-star break, every team in the AL East is at least 5 games over .500 and all five teams have winning records both at home and on the road. I'm curious if that's ever happened before in any division?
  15. Yeah, but losing a reliever or bench player is much less damaging to losing a starting pitcher, especially for a team with questionable depth there.
  16. Does Kirk score from 2nd on that ball that Varsho scored from 1st on?
  17. I'll stay with bench as well.
  18. How crazy is it that if the playoffs were to start today, 3 AL East teams would be in (at least the wildcard) and none of them would be the Yankees or Red Sox?
  19. I'll take bench for Saturday
  20. July 7 Bichette - 1 Point Vladdy 2 Points - Spanky, Omar Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points - Dylan, JohnHavok Belt - 2 Points - Jonn Chapman - 3 Points - Abomination Jansen - 3 Points - wilko Merrifield - 6 Points - JaysAllMighty Kiermaier - 7 Point Off the bench: 10 Points
  21. He kinda looks out to me. Painful to get this wrong though and lose the challenge this early.
  22. July 6 - Game 2 Bichette - 1 Point - Abomination Springer - 2 Points - Candy Maldonado Vladdy - 2 Points- Hurl, LTBF, WryNGinger Varsho - 2 Points - Wilko Jansen - 3 Points - JaysBlue, JaysAllMighty, Jonn Chapman - 3 Points - Omar Merrifield - 6 Points - mphenhef
  23. That kind of looked like tie goes to the original call on the field to me. They must have had an angle we don't.
  24. Could you imagine Schneider with Roger Clemens on the mound? Clemens would be around 120 pitches and look like he was ready to tear the manager's head off his shoulders if he even approached him.
