Both players have provided 0 fWAR this year with negative defense (ignoring pitch framing). JPA actually provided more fWAR last year. Now if you argue pitch framing, you can't ignore JPA being apparently above average this year as well. Do I want JPA to remain our catcher? No. Do I want Molina as our catcher? No.
KJ was terrible for us in 2012, passable for Arizona in 2011, and terrible for the Braves in 2009. He bounced back, good for him. If he was still here and struggling people would be crying over why he was brought back and would have had a case. As for Reyes, he's provided 1/2 the WAR in 1/2 the games while playing on a bad leg which is clearly hurting his defense and base running. Regardless we all know that him being moved had other reasons behind it, and AA was probably ordered to do so.
