    He tore his finger open in the celebration last night and had to get stitches. Apparently he's good to go though.

    Darvish is the one that scares me. In 100 AB, we've only had 18 hits while striking out 38 times. He's also finished off the year with two very good outings (combined 13 innings, 5 hits, 2 walks, 21 k's). I think we can handle Hamels (not that he isn't a good pitcher too).

    Pretty hard to do so if the games are close. If one is a blowout we could definitely see fireworks. I'd also expect JB to be going in to 2nd very hard if he gets the chance.

    Of course not. Liriano was already basically ready to come in, so there'd be zero point in faking it.

    It wasn't even 50/50. Bourn should have had it. He got to it and whiffed.

    I wonder if the best option may be to use both Estrada and Liriano in the wildcard game? If we could get both one turn through the rotation, it could act as a tuneup for them while giving the O's two different looks. The O's seem to be allergic to Estrada's pitch mix, as well as lefties.

    Do what we do with the BBDL, put a link below each person's name that can point to a google doc. The person can make changes whenever they want to it, and everyone can find it easily.

    Fielder was body / getting old / baseball related type stuff. You don't compensate for that. If he hadn't had the physical issues and had gotten in a bad car accident that had ended his career, that might be different. We'll compensate Cyborg in the BBDL as well for JF (not that he probably needs it), just as we did for P2F and Taveras. Given that this happened at the end of the season, whether that compensation happens for the 2017 draft or 2018, I don't know.

    Can we add anyone we want now, are we throwing everyone on waivers, or are we waiting on Vanland and Speedy to finish their picks first?

    I took Dustin Brown, since I keep losing f***ing forwards and the preseason hasn't even started yet. Spanky is up.

    If you're running Pillar and Pompey out there, you almost might as well go with 2 outfielders and add a roving infielder (especially when Sanchez and Stroman are pitching)

    Thole sets up like that to keep his hand as relaxed as possible, which helps him adjust to the knuckleball's flight. He doesn't do it when he catches a normal pitcher.

    Osuna hasn't gotten much work lately, so I really don't have a big problem with this. He was already warm. It would be a lot different if he was overworked.
