  1. Wow, big break for me! You could still flip those back though.
  2. They really seem like they don't want to sign Pagan, but are keeping the possibility open. They keep mentioning things like wanting to keep the competition open, etc. The thing Lawrie would offer is the potential to cover infield and outfield positions in a super util role (I see no reason he couldn't handle LF capably, if he can resist the urge to run into Pillar or the walls while chasing flies). Barney works well as a defensive replacement / pinch runner who can cover SS as well. I'm not sure he'd excel in an expanded role in the event of a major injury.
  3. I'm all for this. I think he's a good fit with us, and would be very low risk / high reward.
  4. I figured there was a strong chance either Miller or Fleury would be, and a decent chance Halak would go somewhere in a backup role. Halak is killing it in the AHL.
  5. Yeah, I'll be okay next year, but really tough the remainder of this one. I thought ONE of those guys would get traded / guy in front get traded at the deadline.
  6. Yeah, I don't get that either. I held off a long time on Mantha, but at this point in the season there's not much point in keeping them down since they'll probably be mandatory promotions at the end of the year anyway.
  7. Trade deadline is passed now
  8. My waiver picks were terrible!.
  9. Actually, I'd also suggest that signing Lawrie to a big league contract would probably bring in far more in additional ticket sales than what his salary would be, given he was popular here and people will remember the good Lawrie more than the current (useful but less good) version. He could be valuable to us from that alone.
  10. I'd love to get Lawrie back. Turn him into a true super util guy, and get rid of Zeke.
  11. A Jays pitcher other than Sanchez will win the Cy Young. Sale will join Price on the TJS list, and the Red Sox will finish last in the division. Tellez will be our starting 1B / DH by the trade deadline. The Nats and Mets both fail to make the playoffs. The Angels will trade Mike Trout.
  12. Yeah, this is what I want to see. I know it would be a big change, but the thing that annoys me most when watching a game is seeing a pitching change every batter. I'd like to see a pitcher have to face 3 batters or the end of an inning before they can be removed (barring injury). Catchers that rack up frequent flier miles between home plate and the pitching mound bother me too.
  13. Trade deadline is tomorrow night! I'm in the market for a starting goalie. Don't make me rely on backups the rest of the year
  14. Forsberg now has 10 goals in his last 5 games. Man alive is he on some kind of hot streak.
  15. None of those were 2018, sorry for the confusion. Basically for my team, P2F should have Bickford, Dinger should have my 6th round 2017 MiLB, JG34 should have my 5th round MiLB 2017, and AG should have JG34's 6th round 2017 MiLB.
  16. There were a few during the waiver draft, not sure if they were updated or not. I didn't touch anything except the waiver list just to keep the draft running smoother. I left the MiLB side for an actual commish. Bickford should be on P2F's team from the Salazar trade. Dinger should have my 6th round MiLB, JG34 should have my 5th round MiLB with his 6th coming my way, then AG should have that same 6th.

Wow, Canucks got Goldobin and a conditional 4th rounder (becomes a 1st if SJ wins the cup) for Hansen.
  18. I'm not a big Swanson fan (at least in fantasy), but that's an exceptionally high price to pay regardless.
  19. Whew. How the f*** do you leave Carmelo with that kind of a shot at the end????
  20. I hate that play at the end, but I love that it worked.
  21. Lol, that was awesome by Patterson. Trips running backwards and falls, knocks the ball away while on his back.
  22. One thing the Raps seem to be doing very well since Lowry went down is moving the ball better again, and actually running plays for other guys more often. That almost certainly happens anyway with more options on the floor now (ie, Lowry probably isn't at fault for that before), but it's absolutely critical to success.
  23. Yeah, I don't have a young goalie stud on my big league team, although I'm generally pretty high on Blackwood and McDonald on my farm. My goalies are a mess right now, with Budaj being traded into a backup role, Fleury probably remaining in a backup role until next year, Markstrom possibly remaining in a backup role until next year (plus just got injured in the superskills competition), and Halak stuck in goalie cap hit hell. I should be fine next year, but not the position I wanted to be in prior to the trade deadline this year. You're gonna destroy me this week in our matchup.
  24. I have a bunch of goalie prospects in my minor leagues, feel free to take a look. Guys like Strome and Dumba, etc could also be made available.
