    Fangraphs is apparently now ad free for international visitors. Thought I'd mention it for those who have been overly annoyed by them in the past.

    I think it's a bullpen game on Saturday, so they probably don't want to use Urena tonight and potentially have him unavailable then. ...and he's in the game. So much for that theory.

    It's not like Lowe is a scrub. He's a pretty damn good hitter who has hit as many as 39 home runs in a season.

    That was a hell of a pick by Vladdy!

    We haven't seen elite Vladdy yet, but he still has a 131 wRC+ (148 in May) and is 44th overall. He's hitting a lot better than it feels like.

    You can throw over a 3rd time, but you have to successfully get the runner.

    With that kind of speed, Simpson should probably bunt half the time. He'd be nearly impossible to throw out.

    I don't think Lukes handles the bat well enough for a suicide squeeze here, but it would be fun.

    I was fine with the sac bunt last night. Didn't like this one. Not a fan of Heineman attempting the base hit bunt there either. You're not going to score the runner on it. Unless it's basically a freebie, that probably isn't the time for it.

    These are the pitching changes I hate.

    In a vacuum, yes. Against a great pitcher, I'd rather be able to score a run without trying to find another hit, especially when we're already up by 3.

    I'm fine with it. Runner on 3rd and one out is pretty valuable, especially against a great pitcher.

    Man, they double clutched and STILL should have gotten Barger there.

    It'll be fine. He'll get it going. He's certainly not the only guy switching teams and struggling early on. Just look at Joc.

    We also saw Bo take strike 3 down the pipe and, in spite of the walks, Vladdy this spring kept challenging very obvious strikes. I feel like these guys either need to guess a little less or swing a little more.
