    Outman was great in 2023, both offensively and defensively (although the strikeouts were a tad high). Then the next year the Dodgers went out on the FA market, bought a bunch of high priced outfielders and stuffed him back in AAA. Even when he's come back up he hasn't gotten regular at bats. He's continued to hit in the minors though. IMO the Twins are going to be really happy with that pickup. It makes me worry a little bit for Zyhir Hope and Mike Sirota.

    I seem to recall Randy Johnson pitching in a game 6 (with a high pitch count), then coming out of the bullpen for game 7. That was Randy Johnson though, and a different era.

    I'd much rather face Boston than the Yankees and their stupid little short porch.

    The Yankees aren't allowing Red Sox (or Blue Jays if it gets that far) fans from buying post season tickets. That's going to cause some serious drama online. I hope the Yankees lose their wildcard round just for that alone.

    This is really weird. They're swinging through the fastball and pounding every off speed pitch no matter what it is or where it's located. Either they're sitting offspeed or Max is tipping pitches.

    My guess is he'll pinch hit sometime tonight and be in there tomorrow. Crochet is the kind of pitcher they're going to want to see him against.

    At least it wasn't the first inning this time. Jays starters in the 1st inning have a 5.2 ERA. The rest of the game they have a 4.1 ERA

    We don't need more injuries. I'd rather see them jog on a play that's an out 99% of the time than see someone else critical go down.
