  1. Pete Walker had the right idea. He saw where this night was headed and noped right out of there in the 1st inning. I wish I had followed suit.
  2. The Royals were on absolutely everything. He's probably tipping pitches again or something.
  3. Jose Bautista used to go through stretches where everything was a pop out. We nicknamed him Poptista when that happened. Vladdy is the same. When he gets a little off, he kills worms for a while until he figures it out.
  4. I think that's just the playoffs, but I could be wrong.
  5. One of the umpires had to leave the field (possible medical issue). It has nothing to do with TB. That said, I'm all for them being relocated to Vancouver.
  6. I want to face Seattle. All our games would be home games.
  7. And are now losing in the 10th. Also, the Twins are making a game of it against the Yankees.
  8. I think Caminero lost that in the lights.
  9. The second instance (the Lucas home run) might have bounced off the top of the wall onto the field if the fan hadn't touched it, but it looked like the fan's hand was on the top of the wall. Presumably with the fan not reaching out over the field, it becomes a dead ball as soon as the fan touches it and a home run. The first one seems like it's just total BS.
  10. According to statcast, that Lucas hit was not a home run in any ballpark (it could be adjusted for weather conditions tomorrow though).
  11. I assume he was getting clarification on the nonsense ruling, not arguing the result.
  12. I want to know why they thought it would be a home run anyway. I'm guessing they used the advanced metrics to determine the estimated distance. According to Baseball Savant, that hit was a home run in exactly one park (the one we're playing in). It sure looked like he reached way out over the field though.
  13. I have no idea how that wild pitch missed Gimenez
  14. Caminero almost ducked right into that curve.
  15. Do we even WANT a catcher's interference call here?
  16. I think if it's me, I load the bases here.
  17. What do you think the odds are that TB DOESN'T bunt here?
  18. Really need the Red Sox to win tonight. The Yankees have a VERY easy schedule to close out the year and ours is going to be a dogfight.
  19. Ah, the eephus. The pitch designed to single-handedly ruin the umpire's scorecard.
  20. I don't understand why they pitched to Vladdy here (or Springer last inning, although that one worked out for them).
  21. Does anyone know if this move happened prior to September 1st (ie, will he be eligible for the playoffs?)
  22. With the ball going to the left of the outfielder, he should have been sent. That's a very hard throw to make across your body. If the ball had been at the outfielder or to the right, I agree with the hold sign. Thankfully it worked out anyway.
  23. That was one hell of a wicked hop on Bo there. Did it hit the lip of the grass?
  24. That's actually probably why. Lot higher chance of them scoring the runner from 3rd with 1 out when contact guys with speed are coming up. If he catches the 3rd baseman back on his heels, which it looked like he had, then he probably beats it out. I don't love it or hate it.
