  1. Looks like CJ moves into the starting lineup along with Delon. Maybe that'll at least get the two of them going. Like Org said, Jokic is gonna kill us.
  2. Tonight is going to be a really rough game. Lowry out, FVV out, JV out, Siakam out. Delon had better bring it lol.
  3. The problem with a round of byes is that having players in baseball sit for more than a week between games could be problematic. That's less of an issue in a game like football.
  4. Which athletes threatened to do this?
  5. Lol, this Utah/Orlando game is 35-33 at the HALF
  6. Hard to really see a good fit. Pillar for Black and Quinn would be reasonable maybe.
  7. Yep, that turned ugly fast.
  8. It's amazing that we're somehow right in this game.
  9. Kawhi doesn't look like he's moving very well.
  10. We were going to need the roster spots regardless. If we had protected them, we very likely would have had to try to pass them back off anyway and they would have then been claimed. I doubt in the grand scheme of things it makes any difference, except this way if they don't stick with their teams all year we get them back.
  11. Given how limited we are at SS, Urena was kind of a no brainer. Pompey is a little more questionable.
  12. Yep, paid off for them for sure.
  13. Yeah, kinda. There's some interesting calls going on here late. Looks like the Chargers might go for two and the win instead of the tie. Interesting gamble.
  14. When they pay out the money in reality may not equate to what options they have for accounting for it in the corporate taxes though. I have no idea if that's the case or not, just something that popped into my head to try and explain what we saw along with the timing. I mean, we're talking about trying to find a vet SS as a stopgap now which will cost something as well. Either they truly believe Tulo isn't capable of being anything other than a complete disaster there anymore, or there's something else making this move beneficial to them.
  15. I feel like there may be more to the Tulo move. It's possible the team really does feel he can't play anymore, but part of me wonders if there may be something related to taxes and accounting, particularly with the new business tax rates in the States. Maybe with them moving the front office to Dunedin, it has other implications. Perhaps they can claim more of the loss here or something which might be under Canadian code still for the 2018 tax year.
  16. This, people are quoting different things. Also of note, depending on your settings I believe you may show the pFX from different data sources, which also show slightly different values.

They were jinxed. You know what you did.
  18. He can, but realistically it probably does set him back since he could be on an innings limit then (plus will likely have less development of secondary stuff for a year). It's not a huge deal though, really no worse than an injury in that respect.
  19. It's probably not ideal if you see him as a future starter, but if you see him as a reliever (which seems more likely to me) then this might actually help him develop.
  20. That's exactly the point though, it reduces what the Jays have to pay him. In other words, Tulo doesn't get the extra money, so why would he care?
  21. Both of the last two games.
  22. The first part is correct as far as I know. However, there's no incentive for Tulo and another team to pay anything more than the league minimum, so that's all it would be reduced by. I'm pretty sure the final option buyout is just sunk cost.
  23. Stroman, Pillar, and Giles for Senzel (assuming the vertigo issues aren't a concern moving forward)!
  24. Looks like there's also an option for a 3rd year at 15M if he stays fairly healthy, but could be as low as 1M if he misses significant time.
  25. There has to be something more to it that isn't public knowledge. It definitely makes no sense.
