Did he give up that much though? Betts is probably going to pull in between 55 and 60M in his three arbitration years, and while Bregman is very, very good, he isn't Betts. It's probably fair to put him at around 50M for those three years. His two free agent years are worth, I don't know, 60 to 65M? He probably left 15M on the table, and that's assuming he had nearly perfect health during his three arbitration years, which is certainly no sure thing. It's a very good deal for him imo, and it's a decent deal for the Astros to lock up two of his FA years at a reasonable cost.
