  1. Didn't hit the dirt AND it wasn't fouled off. Good job to get the K anyway.
  2. They lost their feed for some reason. It happens. Be thankful they can switch feeds quickly, rather than us just seeing a blank screen.
  3. Players had taken it a little far the other way, intentionally trying to make contact with the fielder even if they were well away from the bag, and in many cases basically trying to spike them. That's really not part of baseball, or it shouldn't be, and just leads to guys getting injured. That wasn't the case there with Grichuk. He had to slide or he takes the throw right in the face, there was really nowhere else he could slide, and Profar was in front of the base effectively blocking his slide.
  4. Durant just tied for the second highest points total in a half in playoff history, putting up 38
  5. Why would it be? That was back before the 2017 season started. You can debate the merits of the move, but it was clearly a legit baseball trade.
  6. Because he's only played 17 games above AA. There's lots of examples of guys who are brought up too quickly and struggle badly, and it can really set them back.
  7. I kinda feel like someone didn't think that Boston Pizza ad through before airing it.
  8. That was hit pretty hard for an emergency swing.
  9. Because three weeks is a very small sample size. Half a year is perfectly reasonable to have a player at any given level even if they're killing it (probably on the low side). It would be different if he was at AAA a good portion of last year.
  10. He's only played 16 games above AA. Keeping him down half the season isn't at all unreasonable, even if he's killing it.
  11. Misread what he wrote. It happens.
  12. Yes, his age is irrelevant.
  13. Jokic is a monster. He has an outside chance at a 50 point triple double.
  14. It's a slippery slope. What if a company like Amazon was to start using all the data they collect on you to offer dynamic pricing, charging some people more for the same item at the same time than others because they think they'll pay more? That would just be the first potential step too. For the record, I don't think what the Jays did is wrong, just ... a public relations nightmare waiting to happen.
  15. Clippers probably won't win the game, but that was a fantastic half for them.
  16. That was a really ugly half of basketball.
  17. It's not too late.
  18. All things considered, I think he's actually pitched quite well. He can probably manage to stick on the roster for the year if he even continues to do what he has so far, and I think we'll see him improve as the season progresses.
  19. Drabek had just barely been drafted out of highschool at Luciano's age.
  20. The Jays aren't even in the bottom 8, which tells you how bad some other teams have been. The Giants aren't last either for that matter.
  21. Well, I mean that was a 36' shot. He was closer to the half court than the three point line. He had plenty of time to get a much closer, higher percentage look. It was a bad decision with a good outcome for him. Here's the data for the shot: https://stats.nba.com/events/?flag=3&CFID=&CFPARAMS=&PlayerID=203081&TeamID=1610612757&GameID=0041800165&ContextMeasure=FGM&Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Playoffs&RangeType=2&StartPeriod=1&EndPeriod=10&StartRange=28748&EndRange=28800&section=game&sct=plot
  22. They crouch so much that I'd imagine it would be much harder on the knees, and probably shorten their careers. I doubt it has too much effect in terms of shorter term on-field results beyond that.
  23. I'll give you MiLB 109 for him
  24. It's funny, Lillard is getting all kinds of love for that game winning shot. Good thing he made it, because they didn't even attempt to run a play with plenty of time available. Instead he takes an extreme range three that probably had a 20% chance of actually going in. It was a terrible play call and shot selection, with a lucky result.
