Lowry is so good at getting right up chest to chest against the big guys. They can't move without fouling him, and they can't bring the ball down to make a move.

I think the natural grass won't happen now. There's several stadiums being built that are putting in a new kind of artificial turf now who are currently playing on grass. I think we'll see them take that approach, but they'll probably wait until those stadiums open so they can point to it when fans complain that they were promised grass.

I think they said on the broadcast yesterday that right now Feierabend only throws like 30% knuckleballs (I'm assuming they're talking about since he converted to the knuckleball, because this year it's about 60% so far). They said the Jays want him to throw just the knuckleball going forward (or at least similar pitch mixes to what Dickey did). I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else, so thought people might find it interesting. -
Portland is going to be kicking themselves all summer over two of these games.

Probably, but they may also have looked at the matchups and realized that yesterday and tomorrow are games we had/have a legit shot at winning, and today's was a long shot. If you have to sit Vladdy, why not do it in the game where him playing probably doesn't matter? -
The 2 minute report is out! They flagged the 6th foul on Powell as an incorrect call (not that it wasn't obvious). They also flagged a missed travel by Giannis with 16 seconds left in regulation. They flagged a missed travel by Kawhi with 1 minute left in the first overtime. They flagged a missed 3 second by Giannis with 25 seconds left in the first overtime. They flagged an incorrect foul against Gasol with 19 seconds left in the first overtime. They flagged the foul against FVV as an incorrect shooting foul (should have been on the floor) with 14 seconds left in the first overtime. They flagged a missed shooting foul against Siakam with 44 seconds left in the second overtime. They flagged a missed travel against Middleton with 30 seconds left in the second overtime. They flagged a missed backcourt against Middleton with 16 seconds left in the second overtime. So basically, we got away with 2, they got away with 7.

I don't know. Hard to say. Hector Neris is pitching well so far as the closer, and while injured Robertson has a strong track record. Stroman would be an upgrade over VV, but unless VV was part of the return or moved to the pen (which I'm not sure I see them doing), I'm not sure they'd see him as much of an upgrade (if any) over Eflin or Eickhoff. I'm also not convinced they have salary room for Stroman or Giles, so unless we were willing to take on an ugly contract it might not work from that perspective either. I'm actually not sure they have any ugly contracts. Nicasio maybe.
