Their prospect list is a lot worse than I thought it was. Hoerner is obvious (although not a high end top prospect), but beyond that there's a few lower profile arms with some intrigue and little of anything else. -

You'd like him to have made both those plays, but it's hard to fault him on either. The first ball hit the grass cutout I think and took a wicked bounce, and that throw to second is very difficult to handle when you have to reach back across your body while also avoiding the runner. I don't think he did anything wrong on either of them, but you hope one or both are made. -

After it looked like Vladdy was a little overwhelmed early on with all the attention, I suspect they scheduled this game as a day off for him for that reason. They aren't sitting him just to piss people off. -
