Thornton has a higher ceiling, Borucki has a higher floor (imo). Realistically both will likely be legit back end starting pitchers at the major league level. If Borucki retains his velocity gain from the preseason, he becomes significantly more interesting as it'll make his plus changeup play up even more. -
If you're the Bucks, why would you have help defense on FVV when he's under the net? He's probably not going to score from there, or even try to.

With the rule changes coming next year, having Maile be able to come in and throw 20 innings a year in mop up duty could actually be really valuable for the team. It's something that might be worth exploring as this season progresses. -
