    Do we even need a cutdown at the MiLB draft? It increases the player pool a little I suppose, but most guys being selected are new draftees or previously unowned under the radar guys anyway, and the offseason cutdown would deal with the rest.

    I kinda like it, but we need to make it clear once and for all. You get 12 minor league slots, and in the offseason cutdown, 20 major league slots. Two of those 32 offseason slots are flexible. It's really not that difficult. The only thing I think would be worth changing would be to only enforce minor league size at the cutdowns. Hell, if we did that, we could even decide to move to just the one offseason cutdown.

    I don't really see an obvious fit for Galvis, but one could certainly open up in the next three weeks with an injury.

    I think there was some talk about Colorado wanting him. They're only 2.5 back in the wildcard, so I could see it. An extreme ground ball pitcher makes sense in that park too. Stroman and Giles for Rodgers

    I like the anthems when they're done properly. When you get people who don't know the lyrics or try to get cute with them (or just flat out can't sing), those ones I can do without.

    Dexter Fowler (CF) and Kike Hernandez (1B/2B/SS/CF) are available for anyone looking to add some depth for their playoff push. Not looking for picks, but open to pretty much anything else.

    Yeah, Acuna looked completely gassed after the second round, and he didn't take nearly as many swings.

    I don't have a problem with the current format in general, but maybe if two guys are tied in a round they could both advance to prevent fatigue being such an issue.

    Well ... that sucks. If we bring everyone else back, we're probably still a playoff team though. It'll be interesting to see if they do that, or blow it up and get a return for guys like Lowry and Gasol.

    Huh, that's kind of interesting. It seems like MLB really wants to promote higher scores, because everything they've been trying seems to benefit the hitters.
