  1. Yeah, I have to think this is it.
  2. Yeah. It was worth a shot, but I'm over it.
  3. Looks pretty empty. They should open up the doors to the parade crowd half way through the game. Maybe we can set an MLB attendance record.
  4. Thanks! I had him in my DFS lineup and took a another look just in time!
  5. To get Tucker, we'd probably have to add on our side. I really don't think Houston will trade him though. As Laika said, Derek Fisher would be a reasonable potential target. I think there's other teams that are likely better trade fits though.
  6. It looks like it's raining inside the stadium. That must be some thunderstorm.
  7. I'd do Giles and Biagini for Newcomb (who they're basically using as a reliever anyway). I'd want a separate deal somewhere else for Stroman though.
  8. The problem is, you don't get just Lonzo. You get the fun little added addition of LeVar.
  9. What exactly did you filter your list on, because there definitely appears to be people missing off it if it's just walk and k rate (not the least of which is Baez, who you reference above but doesn't appear on your list).
  10. I absolutely love him out there.
  11. He still has plenty of velocity even with the drop, he's just not locating the fastball. Maybe he's overthrowing in trying to compensate for losing a few MPH. I'd love for us to pick him up as a free agent (but not claim him off waivers).
  12. Well, FIP is based on the DIPS concept (defense independent). The issue is that it doesn't take into account contact type or quality (aside from home runs). Pitchers that get a lot of ground ball or soft fly ball contact will usually not be accurately captured with this strategy unless their other metrics help make up for it.
  13. Actually, it's kind of interesting. Between 2016 and this year, we've essentially at some point had (either at the majors or previously minors) 6 of the top 21 ground ball pitchers. It might be time to change things up.
  14. High ground ball rate combined with high walk rates.
  15. Apparently 44% of Canadians watched at least some part of game 6.
  16. I don't think it has anything to do with luck, just flaws in the process used by FIP, xFIP, etc. They're some of the best tools we have at our disposal, but they aren't perfect, especially when it comes to pitchers like Sanchez and Estrada who live at the extremes.
  17. Of the Astros 4 home runs today, 2 of them had an 8% hit probability, and one had a 31%.
  18. He HAS been in the league for at least parts of 6 years, covering 530 innings, and has beaten it in 5 of them (the one that missed was 4.89 vs 4.74). Proven might be a bit strong, but it's not an unreasonable suggestion. The main issue is with regards to whether it matters.
  19. Because someone has to be the adult. Besides, it sounds like Masai DID push him, which you should never do regardless. I don't think an apology is unreasonable, but there shouldn't be anything beyond that. There was clearly no intent for a malicious action.
  20. Lol, Kenny Williams (I think) on teams wanting to nab Kawhi and top executives: "If you take a girl to the prom and you're the only one who wants to dance with her, you took the wrong girl."
  21. You'll improve. Keep at it, and never give up!
  22. Sanchez is apparently contagious. Maybe some of the Astros pitchers will catch it.
  23. Gibby sounds happy. Says he would like to return in some capacity next year, but needed a break.
  24. Definitely, and something that can't happen.
  25. You'd think they'd know, as part of their job, who the primary guys are who would need floor access if the Raptors won regardless of whether they immediately see the pass. Seriously though, it sounds like a lot being made out of nothing. Send the cop a case of Canadian beer with an apology note or something.
