What exactly is your definition of an elite player?
I mean, Morton is 6th among all pitchers this year in WAR. I would consider Meadows to be one. He's top 40 in WAR this year among all position players. It's not like they're running a bunch of trash out there.
Do you mean changing the size of the grid elements along the edge of the area of interest for each increment, or actually changing their fundamental shape? I'm trying to figure out how the second scenario would work, and it's got me curious now.
For whatever it's worth:
1st half: 4.79 xFIP, 85 wRC+, 34-57 record
2nd half: 5.07 xFIP, 98 wRC+, 30-37 record
That's a pretty big improvement as is. Two good starting pitchers would make a world of difference.
He's had a number of balls he's lost and looked bad on, and others where he's looked fantastic. The talent is definitely there. I still think he's just not seeing some balls.
Yeah, we might have to change the minors to be two way. I think there's an option to set the number of IP or AB for which they're still eligible for that. People could definitely abuse it, but it would make an interesting wrinkle.
Huh, for some reason I thought Mondesi had been playing some 2nd this year. Sorry about that. As for Odor, ANYONE is an upgrade over not having to see his name on your roster
Yeah, although if the idea is to get rid of the overhead, it would be nice to get rid of all of it.
I actually think I like the idea of a combined draft.
