Well, that depends on whether it's deferred with or without interest, and what the interest rate is on the deferred money.

Some of the positions seem screwy. For example, Brian Anderson played in 55 games in RF this year but doesn't have OF eligibility for 2020.

Yeah, you never know what can happen. Woodruff is really good (but not stretched out after returning). Scherzer has had a couple subpar starts recently, at least in terms of results. The Brewers running Woodruff out there for 3, followed by Pomeranz for 2 who is suddenly looking elite, and Hader for 2 or 3 is pretty damn scary.

The A's will almost certainly be Montas or Manaea (or possibly both once through). Hard to bet against the Rays, but I don't think either team has a pitching advantage in this game, and the A's have a more potent offense.

Both players would 100% be claimed. All of the teams would probably put a claim in on Fisher. Half probably would on Alford.

What exactly is your definition of an elite player? I mean, Morton is 6th among all pitchers this year in WAR. I would consider Meadows to be one. He's top 40 in WAR this year among all position players. It's not like they're running a bunch of trash out there.
