  1. I'm very much on board with this. I'd love to do the same thing for the other leagues too. If we really want to have a cutdown, then merge the waiver and MiLB drafts into one.
  2. Just go to Fantrax and create a league. As part of the process, it gives you the option.
  3. I'd suggest you create your own experimental league where you can play around with settings. You can even create one that automatically uses the settings chosen in one of the other leagues. It's really dangerous to poke around in a live league.
  4. Has anyone actually asked Fantrax about the possibility of supporting both types of draft picks?
  5. I wouldn't have wanted to give up the pick for one year, but I would have been onboard for four.
  6. It's your lucky day. So is Cooper!
  7. I think they just need to shorten some of the wasted time: Enforce a quicker pitch clock. Enforce batters not stepping out. Allow communications through technology to eliminate the time a pitcher and catcher need to agree on a pitch. Better integrate some of the advanced technology they have to make replays and the time between pitches or batters more interesting to the viewer. Find a way to interactively engage people. A lot of people like to challenge themselves and compete, even if it's not on the field.
  8. I'm happy watching women's tennis and soccer. Not too fond of most others though.
  9. I believe teams each owned a stake in MLBAM and were getting significant revenue from it. I mean, it sucks, but it's understandable. When you have teams likely making 30 to 50 million a year from it, you're going to have trouble convincing them to go another direction.
  10. It's just so stupid. Let them have earpieces and microphones. Eliminate signs completely. If a team is found either hacking the (presumably encrypted) communications channel or going to NSA level lengths to pick up the audio, then hand out lifetime suspensions for anyone involved, player or coach. Otherwise, let teams communicate freely. It probably speeds up the game significantly too.
  11. There's usually a few seconds between the time a pitcher agrees on a pitch and he starts to deliver the ball. All they have to communicate, really, is fastball or off-speed pitch. There's plenty of time to hit a button to do that.
  12. It's time to let them wear ear pieces and eliminate signs altogether. Also, if they were going THAT far, the punishments were way too light.
  13. Are you sure you're looking at the correct year? I only see him listed as UT for all our leagues.
  14. Refs are trying really hard to get OKC back in the game. Some real mystery calls here.
  15. I don't think it's even all that interesting in a 20 teamer. 30 it would be.
  16. I think it's more the one year suspensions that should be a bit longer.
  17. I think there's too many variables to tell. If he has changed his body quite a lot, he might struggle initially until he gets used to them. He might also break out big. I wouldn't be surprised to see anything between 115 wRC+ and 140 wRC+. I think I'd be surprised outside of that.
  18. This has to be the best game I've seen in a LONG time.
  19. This game is wild!
  20. Yeah. KC hasn't been great defensively, but I didn't expect this kind of start.
  21. I think there will be a few smaller moves. It feels like teams are waiting for remaining FA prices to come down for the remaining guys. I would be shocked if we didn't sign a wildcard reliever or two.
  22. Pruitt is an elite spin rate pitcher, whom the Astros love. I can see them tweaking something and him suddenly dominating. Stevenson has great hand-eye with an advanced knowledge of the strike zone and good speed. It kinda seems like the kind of thing both teams might look for.
  23. LMAO. Shaq is betting boxes of donuts on the pregame show with the other panelists. He keeps pulling out boxes.
