  1. I'm not sure Cesar can play 3B or SS anyway, so he really needs to be on a team with an opening at 2nd. Maybe SS, but it's been a few years. I'm not sure the range would still be there.
  2. I'd be fine with that.
  3. I think it only becomes guaranteed if he's on the team opening day. Until then, it's a non-guaranteed contract that only requires termination pay (a month or two?)
  4. I don't get it either, but he can still be cut if needed later for what, 500k?
  5. Definitely on Gausman. Travis Shaw at 1B and Jimmy Nelson could also be interesting.
  6. I could definitely see AA signing him as the 4th outfielder.
  7. I think that's his upside if healthy. Make him stop throwing the damn splitter, and you have an above average fastball, slider, and curve. Give him a bonus structure based on games started or something.
  8. I wouldn't mind Treinen, Taijuan Walker, Addison Russell (backup infielder), Danny Hultzen, Trevor Hildenberger, even Sanchez
  9. Seems like a good fit. Low cost with mid-rotation upside. Potentially a good bridge to our youngsters.
  10. I'd hate to be a Jazz player in the locker room at half time.
  11. 1. Then there's no reason to sign him. It has to work for us too. 2. He'd still opt out and try to re-sign or add additional years or something. Unless he's stinking it up, in which case there'd be no difference. 3. What exactly is the higher stakes table (and I'm assuming by flip you don't mean trade, for obvious reasons).
  12. Why would we give him an opt out after year 2, just when we'd probably need him the most?
  13. I'm fine with that. I'd like to keep the flexible cutdown slots though.
  14. FVV might be a candidate for MIP too.
  15. Lol. The Saints are giving a clinic on how to potentially piss away a game.
  16. I don't know if they're available or not, but some guys who might not cost an arm and a leg are Tyler Mahle Joey Lucchesi Alex Reyes Dylan Bundy (cut?)
  17. Even Chen could be worth a look. He's only owed the min, so you can move him into the pen or cut him without much pain.
  18. Bundy for Teoscar maybe? I'd be fine with letting him eat up some innings next year at reasonable cost. Maybe our catchers can help him and we can flip him at the deadline. Plus, I really want to see Teoscar in another uniform.
  19. He was a 2.6 WAR player last year.
  20. I would have been fine with 3/45 for Gibson.
  21. That may have been the difference between a win and a loss.
  22. The weather does not look fun in the Cowboys Patriots game. It looks like heavy rain / sleet with maybe some freezing rain mixed in. All sorts of balls being dropped and lost.
  23. Do we have an option in Fantrax to prevent adding players with a green flag? Maybe just change the AA rule, in exchange for eliminating the mandatory promotion threshold and allowing demotions.
  24. Is there actually a need to? I mean, owned players won't be floating in the general pool anymore. What purpose does the mandatory promotions actually serve? I can't really see it being abused much.
  25. I think the bigger problem is periodically scanning the farms to check if people haven't promoted those that need to be. I guess we could eliminate the PA/IP limits. I'm not sure they actually serve a whole lot of purpose now that players aren't in the general pool.
