    LOL. I mean, I feel at least a little sympathetic to the Astros given that the reporter seems to have an agenda that likely played a part in all of this. Still, handle it right and stop digging yourself deeper. Maybe the Astros need to hire someone to handle preparing personnel for things like this

    Yeah, Smith would have been the guy imo. If you get Harris warm there, you probably want to be 100% sure you're bringing him in. Bringing a guy with an injured knee into a critical situation like that has trouble written all over it.

    Yeah, I mean last game was inches away from the inning ending with a one run lead. The bullpen usage would have been dramatically different if it had (I assume). The Nats got really lucky, then made it look worse against guys who hadn't pitched for a while after it was already decided.

    It's almost as if having a senior front office exec get drunk in front of the media is a bad idea. Who would ever have suspected? Taubman screwed up. It's probably not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be, but it was still really stupid.

    The media gets away with way too much, and I fully support calling them out on it or asking them to leave if they do. That's not license to be a **** in return though. I'm sure more will come out on this in the next few days, and we'll have a better idea of what actually happened.

    Reporters would definitely do that (or at least some would, if they had a cause or narrative they wanted to further).

    I'm sure there's a hell of a lot more to this story. I could easily see a scenario where those reporters have been pestering the front office about Osuna for quite some time, and Taubman being a little drunk after advancing, felt vindicated in taking the chance on acquiring Osuna and wanted everyone to know it, without considering how it might be interpreted. It's also possible that he's simply a prick. Either way, it's not a good look. He either screwed up without meaning any offense, or it was directed specifically at the female reporters on purpose. Regardless, he screwed up.
