Yep. Like I said, Hentgen used to get those calls all the time. It was the somewhat accepted strike zone back then. Buckner is just flat out bad in any era though.
It looks really bad, but those were often called strikes back then by a lot of umpires. Hentgen won a Cy Young on pitches like that. He'd start the game on the corners, and by the 6th or 7th inning he was getting strikes in the opposite batter's box.
Either the lack of fans is changing the air currents in the stadium, or MLB has juiced the balls again to try to increase scoring and pad the ratings. This is getting kind of silly.
