    Even if Vladdy came up with that clean, I'm not sure Fleming would have beaten the runner to 1st.

    He's an extreme pitch to contact guy with home run issues who throws in the upper 80s. This is pretty much as terrible a matchup as you could draw up. Clearly the plan was not to need him though.
